I just got into competitive battling, and so far I haven't won anything except Triple and Rotation Battles (Which I haven't lost any).

I refined my team a bit, and ended up winning a few Single Battles.

    Here's the team:

    Charizard @ Charizardite X
    Nature: Lonely
    Ability: Blaze
    Moveset:
    Fly
    Swords Dance
    Dragon Claw
    Fire Fang

Notes: This Charizard works as a Physcial Sweeper, and is my lead. That way, I can Mega-Evolve and switch out so Stealth Rock doesn't hurt him that much. Adding Swords Dance made a large improvement, and I've learned to wait for Mega-Evolving if the opponent is using Ground-Type Pokemon.

    Druddigon @ ?
    Nature: Docile
    Ability: Rough Skin
    Moveset:
    Night Slash
    Dragon Claw
    Hone Claws
    Flash Cannon

Notes: I'm not sure what item for Druddigon to hold. Night Slash is for type coverage against Psychic-Types, Dragon Claw is for STAB, Hone Claws is to boost Attack, and Flash Cannon is to counter Fairies if my other Pokemon aren't available.

    Manectric @ ?
    Nature: Bold
    Ability: Static
    Moveset:
    Thunder Fang
    Roar
    Discharge
    Charge

Notes: I just trained this guy, so I haven't fixed up the moveset yet, and his Nature is mostly useless (it counters Earthquake, and I never use Manectric for Physical Attack anyway) Help me on my moveset here, since I have no idea what to do with it.

    Lucario @ Lucarionite
    Nature: Hasty
    Ability: Steadfast
    Moveset:
    Dragon Pulse
Me First (Not sure what to use here)
    Aura Sphere
    Bone Rush

Notes: Yes, this is Korrina's Lucario. I'm not sure what to replace as far as Me First (since I never use that move), and I usually use the Lucarionite as a backup Mega-Evolution (since Charizard is usually the Mega).

    Greninja @ ?
    Nature: Bashful
    Ability: Torrent
    Moveset:
    Ice Beam
    Surf
    Night Slash
    U-Turn

Notes: Greninja is my alternate lead, since I can easily switch out with U-Turn. Ice Beam is to counter Dragonite, Noivern, Salamence, etc, and Surf and Night Slash are for STAB. I don't feel like breeding for Protean, so don't suggest that, please.

    Mewtwo @ Mewtwonite X
    Nature: Gentle
    Ability: Pressure
    Moveset:
    Thunderbolt
    Ice Beam
    Rock Tomb
    Aura Sphere

Notes: Yeah, the Nature is sorta crappy for a Mewtwo, and Mewtwo is a legendary. This guy is a Type Sweeper (to knock out Water-Types in particular, especially Gyarados) and mostly a backup. If my other Mega Evolvers faint, then I will most likely Megavolve Mewtwo. I would most likely use Mega Evolution to get STAB on Aura Sphere.

I do have some other options:

    Quiet Ditto
    Transform

    Quirky Tyrantrum
    Earthquake
    Dragon Tail
    Crunch
    Strength

Sassy Fletchinder (mostly for a roleplay team)
    Fly
    Steel Wing
    Flame Charge
    Acrobatics

    Quiet Fearow
    Assurance
    Roost
    Drill Peck
    Drill Run

    Hardy Xerneas
    Flash
    Thunderbolt
    Moonblast
    Cut

    Bold Zygarde
    Crunch
    Earthquake
    Grass Knot
    Dragon Pulse

  • EVs would totally be appreciated for this team.

Dragon Dance is still Megazard X's better setup option because it gives it a Speed boost in addition to an Attack boost:
    -Dragon Dance
    -Flare Blitz
    -Outrage/Dragon Claw
    -Earthquake/Dragon Claw/Roost
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite X

Remember that Lucario still functions fine even without its Mega Evolved form, so its regular form is still usable if your Mega slot is taken up:
    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat
    -Extreme Speed/Bullet Punch
    -Earthquake/Crunch
    Nature: (whatever you have)
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

Though Protean is one of Greninja's main draws, for the sake of this team, I won't suggest it. Still, there are better moves for Greninja to use:
    -Hydro Pump/Surf
    -Dark Pulse
    -Ice Beam
    -U-turn/Hidden Power (Fire)/Grass Knot
    Nature: Hasty/Timid
    EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

    or
    -Spikes
    -Hydro Pump/Surf
    -Dark Pulse/Ice Beam
    -Hidden Power (Fire)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash

Note that Mewtwo is an Uber, so people may frown down on you using it in standard play. Make do with Gallade:
    -Swords Dance
    -Close Combat
    -Psycho Cut
    -Night Slash/Shadow Sneak
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Lum Berry

    or
    -Close Combat
    -Psycho Cut
    -Night Slash/Shadow Sneak
    -Stone Edge/Leaf Blade
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band/Choice Scarf

Ditto should be using a Sassy nature to help sponge hits from Zoroark (Imposter won't copy Zoroark with an intact Illusion).

Tyrantrum should be Adamant (or Jolly):
    -Dragon Dance/Rock Polish
    -Stone Edge/Head Smash
    -Earthquake/Fire Fang
    -Dragon Claw/Ice Fang
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Leftovers/Lum Berry

    or
    -Stealth Rock
    -Stone Edge/Head Smash
    -Dragon Claw/Ice Fang
    -Earthquake/Fire Fang
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash/Life Orb

Fletchinder is good for a Fly slave, but Talonflame is the Pokemon for competitive battling:
    -Swords Dance
    -Flare Blitz
    -Brave Bird
    -Roost/Tailwind/Will-o-Wisp
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 192 HP/252 Atk/4 Def/60 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Sharp Beak/Sky Plate
    Ability: Gale Wings

    or
    -Flare Blitz
    -Brave Bird
    -U-turn
    -Tailwind/Will-o-Wisp
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 192 HP/252 Atk/4 Def/60 Spe
    Item: Choice Band
    Ability: Gale Wings

Also, Fearow is terrible competitively. Never bother with it.

You should've kept going and gotten better natures for Xerneas and Zygarde. While Xerneas is deemed an Uber by many, Zygarde isn't good enough for Ubers, so it's safe for standard play. Still, you should've kept going for a better nature for Zygarde:
    -Dragon Dance
    -Outrage
    -Earthquake
    -Extreme Speed
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 104 HP/252 Atk/152 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Lum Berry

    or
    -Coil
    -Earthquake
    -Dragon Tail
    -Extreme Speed
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk
    -Earthquake
    -Dragon Tail
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers/Rocky Helmet

Zygarde's Coil set could look like this:

Zygarde w/Sitrus Berry or Leftovers or Yache Berry
    Nature: Impish/Careful
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Sp.Defense
Moves: Coil, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Extreme Speed
    Ability: Aura Break
This is the set I've been using, and its worked pretty well so far. Zygarde doesn't have to use its Dragon STAB to be effective.

Manentric and Druddigon aren't all that great, but I'll give you sets for them anyway, so I feel like I'm contributing (or if you get the urge to use them).

    Druddigon w/Choice Band:
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Attack, 4 Sp.Defense
Moves: Outrage/Dragon Claw, Sucker Punch/Night Slash, Earthquake, Fire Punch
    Ability: Sheer Force/Rough Skin
Unfortunately, Druddigon doesn't get any physical Poison and Steel moves to deal with Fairies; it's Sp.Attack and Speed are too low to use Flash Cannon or Sludge Bomb. It's best bet is to take a hit and then hit back harder.

    Manenctric w/Expert Belt:
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
Moves: Volt Switch, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Hidden Power Grass/Ice
    Ability: Lightningrod
Volt Switch (and Lightningrod) will work nicely with Greninja's U-turn to create the frequently used Volt-turn combo. Hidden Power and Flamethrower are for coverage.

And the Lucario you get from Korrina is the bomb. It's great. I was slightly touched that it wanted to come with me so badly. So now I use it in Wifi battles as my Mega Lucario.
