Weekly Music Mince

It's that time again readers! This week I went on a bit of a Rise Records spree so there's a fair bit of that in there, however simply in general there is a slightly darker tone in this weeks selection. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy what I have for you this week because I certainly have.

Mumford & Sons without banjos will literally take forever for me to get used to, but at the same time I'll be interested to see how the rest of Wilder Mind is going to sound like.

Muse's new album Drones will definitely be a welcome release for the fans who loved their older material since it seems like a return to the sound of the early days. Thank god I can now forget about the complete joke of an album that was The 2nd Law.

So far I have enjoyed Believe and The Wolf, however I don't think the latter is comparable to their previous work. I am curious to see how the rest of the album goes.

I tend to agree that Muse's last album wasn't very good, I won't completely write it off though since it produced Madness and Panic Station both of which I quite enjoy. Drones looks like it will be a significant improvement though, so far both singles have been thoroughly enjoyable.
