Trial Run (SS Update #5)

So I got to the Elite 4 . . .

Healed, saved outside the door and charged in. No prep, no item-buying, no intent to win. The entire point was to see how far I could get on guts and momentum alone, and then come back out to train, shop and prepare.

So, I did that. I'm now sitting twiddling my pixellated thumbs in the Indigo Plateau PokeCenter, but I have a choice to make. Do I (a) soft reset or (b) save? (a) involves keeping all the handy items I used up in the E4, but my Pokemon being the levels they were before. (b) involves losing all those items (and not having much money to pay for more) but keeping a neat little package of experience points.

jsyk, I beat Will, Koga and Bruno (with no small difficulty) and took down Karen's Houndoom and Vileplume. That's some nice XP there. So what do I do? Currently, I'm actually leaning towards option (a). XP can be got anywhere, but I used up some seriously rare/expensive/both items.

Any input?

Hayate the level 42 Lapras (41 before challenge)

Felix the level 42 Raikou (40 before challenge)

TYPHLOSION the level 36 Typhlosion (no change)

Gyarados the level 30 red Gyarados (no change, just an HM slave with attitude. Helped with Koga's Crobat, w00t.)

You should see what I ran in with(check out my blog). Though I used some healing items because I had the money :3

I'd say go with using healing items.
If you run out with plan b, you're kinda screwed.

I made the mistake of saving, and I failed against Lance. Got him the second time through thanks to items.
