  • They really, really do

So yeah. Today, AFTER picking my brother up from school (>____<) I started to drive off the grocery store because we needed paper towels and whatnot. As I am driving down the main street, I see a pedestrian at the next crosswalk, so I slow down, you know, because pedestrians have the right of way. So I do, and then BOOM.

A car slammed into us from behind. It was pretty bad, according to my mom who came out a short while later. I'm just glad everyone was okay...

...but I feel pretty shaken up. T__T :( I don't even remember most of it, it all happened so fast, even the after crash stuff, like talking to the police, talking to the people to make sure they're ok, etc. My brother says he remembers me looking in the rear view mirror and being shocked, but I have no recollection of it...I hope that's normal... :/

But yeah. Now I feel tired, so I'm gonna quit typing for now. *yawns*

  • Awww, that's okay. :( I haven't had a wreck myself, but I waited til...um, like a week before graduation to get my license. I'm always afraid of stuff like this happening to me. But yeah, at least no one was hurt. Just be thankful for that! And I know you're still a bit shaken up, but you'll get over it in due time. :)

  • Haha, that's exactly what happened to me the first time I was in a car at driver's school. (Totally wasn't my fault, I did the exact same thing as you.)

:3 I'm just really glad you're okay. You'll feel less shaken up soon, I know I did.

  • @Sydian: I only got my permit before graduation, and got my license in my second semester of college...0__o

@Kura: I don't think this was my fault either, because they didn;t give me a ticket or anything. Phew!

And yeah, I already feel WAY less shaken up. ^__^ Still nervous about driving, but nothing to do about that but drive it off. XD

  • I will. :) I already have to drive my brother to school tomorrow, but my dad wants to go with me for moral support. ^__^

  • Damn that's awful, but don't worry if you're feeling a bit shaken up because it's natural. My friend's mum had a serious car crash last year; she was crossing an intersection when a man hoon-driving went through a red light and slammed into the passenger side. The whole half of the car caved in and she was lucky to have survived with just a fractured hip. But shes walking and perfectly normal now. But every now and then she gets uncomfortable when she drives at the intersection where she had the crash.

Oh and if you need anyhting, just ask. ^^
Even though we havent talked much. :>

  • @Curious: Your poor mom's friend! I'm glad we had barely any injuries at all! (I just have a sore neck.) And what is "hoon-driving" ? XD
