  • I'm going to keep trying to report anything positive that happens in my life.

It feels good to do good when it's needed. It goes to show you how one person who doesn't really matter can do something.

So, basically, my brother is in play crew. My parents don't count that as being part of the play. I told them that we should still go. They said... "No. He is not in the play." I told them that he is. Normally, my little brother can be a bit of a prick, but that doesn't mean my parents shouldn't go to his play just because he's not acting in it. First of all, the lighting is just as important as the actors. Without the lighting crew, there would be no play. So I kept on insisting that he is in the play, and that my parents should go. I told them I would go, by the way, I've been wanting to see how he does as part of the crew. But my parents wouldn't budge and they kept saying "we're not going."

So I did something about it. I got the school psychologist involved. Told her my parents won't go. My dad can't pay for the tickets (that's also true, but still, it's wrong not to go.) She's going to put tickets aside for Saturday night, if she can. She...she does too many nice things for me and my family... that is such an oxymoron... but... anyway. He deserves his family to support him on the big night. I have no involvement in the play, but at least I did something about my parents having refusal to go. He's in the play. He's part of the crew. And my parents don't see it, I guess.

It's important to him. He doesn't say things like that, of course, he's kind of quiet about things like that, but I'm glad I was able to do something like this.

It feels good to do good.

Good for you, Yuki! You're right, if it's important to your brother it should be important for your family. Good for you for stepping in and doing what you feel is right!

Glad you're getting some positive things in these blogs too. It makes me happy. :)

  • Wow! That is awesome! And your bro is a stage ninja >:3! They are the best! Honestly I think that the behind the stage crew are just as important as the actors. After all, there would be no movie-making industry or theatres without them! Anyways, I can't speak for your parents, as I don't know them, but I am happy to hear you are supportive of your bro and also happy to hear your councellor sounds lovely and seems to care a lot! It is great to have that support for yourself too!!! :3
