  • Haha, don't worry, this is not really a bandwagon thing.. just that Ana mentioned Flipnotes which is digital animation, and I had taken a video earlier to show someone how I test my traditional animation on-screen! (Flipbook is the program we use)

I thought you might be tired of listening to Valentine's Day mumbo-jumbo from everyone else, so here's something you might find interesting.

So yes.. I take a picture of every one of my drawings, time it out on the x-sheet (this one didn't need particular timing) and play it back.. and it's ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE!!!! [/Dr. Frankenstein]

I wanted to show you guys another video of me rolling and flipping my drawings on my disk at my desk, but it was kinda difficult to do it while holding my phone so I couldn't get good video. So instead, here are some pictures of my workspace..

Is it snowing outside? In Canada? Unheard of.

Your workspace actually looks pretty organized despite the paper being spread over the table.

  • Thanks.. it gets a lot messier as I'm actually working.. I have two other chairs beside me most times to put different piles of paper on at a time.. haha..
All those papers are scene notes and model-sheets that I've made.. to reference in.. I just look up at some other expressions that I've made of my character or angles to get a better sense of form.. (Haha I actually was gonna take a picture of the downshots I drew of my character.. I'll just upload those tomorrow.. haha)
It's too bad you can't see some of my notes.. like "KEEP IT SIMPLE" and some thumbnails, scene notes, and poses.. but maybe I'll take some more shots tomorrow so you can have a proper look!)

Ana: Glad you find the process cool :3 It's fun but kinda tedious (you do some fixes and have to walk across the room to reshoot all the papers in the scene to make sure it plays back correct.. haha..) but at the same time I find the whole trial and error thing enjoyable :3
