I've finally discovered just why Japan is so damn weird. It's because instead of a nice, normal PokéRap, they were exposed to this monstrosity in their childhood:
That's, as far as I know, the Japanese equivalent to the PokéRap is this, "Pokémon Ierukana?" It's catchy and gets stuck in my head but aaaaah Imakuni is terrifying. ;_; Admittedly, I do love the drawn backgrounds to the Pokémon--some of them look so derp and loveable.
And possibly more terrifying is "Pokémon IerukaNEO?" which is the GS version of the PokéRap. WHY DO THEY LET HIM DANCE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN?? WHY IS HE GODZILLA SIZE? So many questions and so few answers.
