  • I heard about this from one of my housekeepers a few days ago, so I thought I'd share it here.

One of my sisters was admitted to the hospital the other day because she has pancreatitis (spelling...?). She wasn't able to eat anything at all during her time in the hospital because her pancreas would reject the food. Her potassium levels were also running low; she has the potassium pumped into her body (before that, she refused to eat bananas, which have a good level of potassium, at all). 2 of my housekeepers had to watch over her over the past couple of days (one comes during the day, then leaves, then the other comes in at the night).

I really hope that she's doing okay...even though her attitude gets on my nerves sometimes, I still love her regardless of that.

It's probably the organ that we tend to forget, but is actually really important when you think about it. Or is it?

Anyway, I hope that there's a good recovery in store for her. One thing I know is that if I'm getting hospitalized, it's going to be a rough day. Not being able to eat is just messed up.

Do remember that she is your sister.
