Well, six years for this account, anyway. :p Spam the visitor messages!
Let's see, six years ago, I was fourteen, living in the same town I do now, and at the tail end of my freshman year of high school. This was about the peak of my SPPF activity. I'd been linked a few times to PC, and was like "this is a different Pokemon forum. ._.;" One day, while talking with a friend of mine, I decided to join up. I posted a welcome thread, then in some OVP/OC threads (iirc)... and like two days afterwords, hardly ever posted until September that year, when I was tired of SPPF. I'd say that decision worked out for the best.
I was so different back then. Let's see, six years ago...
Don't even get me started about how different PC was back then....
When I came back in September, I posted around mostly in HotS, then lost interest, and then one day found myself going "why don't I post??" And I found OVP. Oh, OVP, my little spam forum, how I love you and your lovely polls. Never change. <3 Funny thing is, it really hasn't changed that much in feel; it's changed most in its rules, and where it is on the forum. Who remembers when it was at the very bottom of the forum list? I'd say I'd write an ode to it but I think there are more qualified people for it now. Especially since I'm no good at poetry anyway.
I did get modded after a year and a half in OVP, mybaby favorite forum. That was fun. Like I said, I was hardly ready for this, as much as I thought I was. Who knew modding a Pokemon forum could be so much serious business?? A lot of my fondest memories was from my staff days, from cleaning up OVP, locking a million threads in NU/W once (oh, Matt *shakes head*), banning spambots (who knew banning people could be so much fun???), posting around in the staff forums, arguing with people at way too late at night, getting promoted, writing posts longer than this about stupid stuff, watching people getting promoted, even getting to mod a few of them... But those days are over. I'm still a little sad about how the whole thing went down, but I'm probably better off without the stress. ^^; Not to mention lately I've wondered if I was even doing a good job, those last few months... at the very least, I was probably a very forgettable staff member, which... it's a mixed bag.
Over the past six years, PC has been a pretty big part of my life. I didn't have a social life at school (I'm not very good at making friends irl, even in college), so almost all of my friends were from here. Every time I got on the computer, I'd come here, post around in my favorite places, have fun. While most kids in high school had social lives, I basically had my writing, my video games, and PC.
Honestly, when I joined, I don't think I expected to get so attached to this place. And even now, it's still pretty much the first place I visit on the 'net, even if I don't post as much as I used to.
Thanks for being around, PC; you've made my life awesome. <3

- Like I said before, I was active at SPPF, desperately hoping to get modded. That didn't happen. I think that's for the best; I wasn't ready for that kind of responsibility. I hardly was when I was modded here... >>;;
- I was still writing my fanfiction. My crazy fanfiction.
- I was into spriting more than I am now. Admittedly bad spriting (I can't do scratch to save my life, so it was all trainer sprite edits), but I had fun doing it. When I returned in September I was active in HotS (now PA) for a little bit. I forget those days.
- I actually still watched the Pokemon anime, and had a crush on Ash. Embarrassing times. But then again, I was fourteen.
- Completely different set of friends. I really don't talk to any of them anymore. It's a mixed bag.
- And I was still dreaming of modding somewhere... which, in hindsight, was pretty pathetic. But I was fourteen. :p
