A letter to my Sleeping Fennekin.

Dear Sleeping Fennekin,

You are literally the last thing left from my ex-boyfriend. I managed to move on by destroying all the memories, but you are somewhat of a special case. People close to me have told me to get rid of you, and they even tried to. But I refuse to get rid of you. Why? Why did you become so special to me even though you remind me of my ex?

I honestly don't think it's the friendship we both used to have. It really meant nothing now that I realize it. I also don't think it's because I love Fennekin, and that your sleeping plushies are a rarity to find online.

You were literally there for me when I flew back to Houston from Kansas City. You were there for me when I got my heart broken, alongside Roy, who held you. You caught every single tear I produced from my eyes. You pretty much became my "lifelong" pet, since I'm not allowed to have a dog or a cat in my loft. You became my traveling companion when I flew to California. I'm now up to the point that I cannot see myself without you. I was also on the brink of an anxiety attack a few days ago, but I laid my head on you afterwards and felt so much better.

It's hard for people to understand why I didn't push you away. Yes, I will admit that I grew emotionally attached to you. But hey, that's kinda how I feel towards all my other Pokemon plushies. However, once again, you are a special case.

Thanks for being there for me when I needed you the most.

Honestly, this plushie just serves as a reminder that you are strong and able to move on through hardships. I don't know why people would tell you to throw that away. I say keep her as a reminder that you are you and that with every relationship, you can be taught great things and reminded what you truly want in life. Fennekin was there by your side whilst you grew and matured. I think it's a fantastic sentiment.
