Hey PC'ers, this is going to be a relatively short entry. This may be more of a personal advertisement than anything, but bare with me here.

Daily Music - "The Distance" by Cake
    Spoiler:

I'm currently in month two of a personal project for myself to help others with hair loss. If you've ever heard of an organization such as Locks of Love, they are an organization that makes and distributes hair pieces to children who are diagnosed with long-term hair loss. Usually the requirements consist of growing out your hair to any length between 10 and 12 inches, but in retrospect it's not too difficult of a thing to do. If you're a female than it won't be too hard, but for a male like myself it's a challenge that I am gladly taking part of.

Daily Comic - "Daisy" by Zac Gorman
    Spoiler:
I've still got a long ways to go and even though I sometimes get made fun of for having such long hair I honestly do not care. I feel that in the end the benefits will outweigh the ridicule, so I put up with it. And it's not even too bad, as once I explain what I'm doing than they soften up. The one thing that I would like to say though is be wary of which organization you do end up donating towards; at first I was thinking of donating to Locks of Love, but I found that they have over $5 million worth of undonated hair that really troubles me. I don't exactly know which organization I'm going to donate to now, but I'm sure I'll figure out a place once I look more into it. So all I'm going to say is that if you are thinking of doing this, do a little bit of research before choosing what organization you're going to affiliate yourself with. You don't want all of your hard work to go to waste.

    Spoiler:
But that's it! I just wanted to point out this little subject matter because I believe a lot of people never thought of something like this. It's a very easy task that doesn't actually take that much effort to get done, and in the end the kids will be ever thankful for it. I'll keep y'all updated as my hair progressively gets longer, but like I said I just wanted to point this opportunity to really help out others if you're willing to go this extra mile.

Have you ever donated your hair before? Have you ever done something similar to this? Comment below as I'd love to hear and discuss with you about this topic!

‡ As always, the "Daily Bloggity" is self written by myself and includes just some of my opinions on different mediums. If you have a subject that you might want me to touch on, feel free to PM me or comment below! I would love to hear some of your ideas! Tune in tomorrow at 5PM Eastern Time for the next edition of the "Daily Bloggity!" Cheers! ‡

  • In 2014 you get made fun of for having longish hair that looks pretty much normal and how a lot of guys wear their hair these days anyway?

Some people just suck for no reason whatsoever.

I think it's more for the reason because of the headband that I wear to keep the hair out of my eyes which they may think is girly. Either way I don't really care considering I wouldn't be able to see otherwise.

  • I grew my hair out twice, both times in 2008 and 2011. It got really long, but I disliked it both times (I just did it though because I was lazy with haircuts).. and style is definitely something important :p My hair is naturally wavy, so it didn't look good on me, and even without a headband, people thought I looked rather feminine.

I have rather long hair myself, while not long enough for a headband, I see a lot of guys around here with headbands... Besides don't famous athletes do the headband thing as well?

Thanks, mate! That's much appreciated! [: I'll continue to do my best to make them as entertaining as possible!

And I never actually thought about it that way haha, I'll definitely have to use that as an argument next time someone tries to belittle me for my long hair and headband!
