Thanks for letting me know! I'll add this to the front page.
I saw some YouTubers doing playthroughs of my game and I noticed some of them had a stockpile of Rare Candies, so I assume some item cheats may be usable as well? idk

Hi CookieAI, so glad to hear you're enjoying it!
Thank you very much for the constructive feedback. As you said, the game is more evolution-focused. So a lot of it is catching the same in-training/rookie Digimon a few times and then fulfilling different conditions for a new evolution. I also think a bit more variance per route would be good. I'm chipping away at Digimon Emerald now and I'm aiming for 300 Digimon in the initial release (So this game +50), with the eventual goal of having 350 total. I'm pretty busy at the moment but it should be released in four or five months from now. :)

The Pseudo Legendaries of this game are Dianamon and Venusmon. Yes they evolve later than Dragonite and Salamence but they're WAY stronger. I have to double check but I think Venusmon's base stats total something ridiculous like 700 or something? So bigger investment, higher payout.

Thanks again very much for your input. I see you went through the effort of making an account just to comment on my hack and I appreciate it. :)

    Sorry, couldn't resist. ;P

I'm not a fan of double battles either. My reptilian brain can't think more than one step ahead so calculating the order of attacks for four Pokemon at once gets too messy for me. I think my hack came out before DBZ Team training but the concept is exactly the same. I believe there's a Sonic one and a Naruto one too. I once felt the urge to make a joke hack called "Pokemon Fire Red but there's too many franchises" that would include Pokemon, Digimon, YuGiOh, Monster Rancher, and Medabots but idk. Devoting so much time towards basically a meme hack might be a bit much lol

As for my game versus the other Digimon romhacks out there, I'd say the "better" one depends on what you're looking for. Mine only has 250 (at present) mons but I put a lot of effort into the sprite work. Some of the other hacks out there have over 700 (!!!!) but are usually just compressed sprites. So it's kind of a quality vs. quantity question I guess.

Anyhoo thanks again for your input. Interacting with players who enjoyed my work is very rewarding and makes it all worthwhile. :)

A monster crossover from different franchises would be too crazy, unless you have a team to work with I wouldn't recommend embarking in that unbalanced hurdle, even if you get all the sprites if you don't balance the battling aspect it wouldn't be fun, also you would have to include Dragon Quest Monsters on this project :D.

I also played that 700+ digimon game, I finished the league but halfway through I was just smashing A A A A constantly, I was not having fun and I could radah radah about how unbalanced the game is but instead I'm just gonna say that yours is better. Although I was quite upset that the DigiDex didn't include Dukemon/Gallantmon in it (best digimon ever) but Megidramon is in it... Daf**. PD: I think a dex shouldn't go past 400+ mons FOR A SINGLE GAME.

    Be well.

You'll be happy to know that Gallantmon will be Digimon Emerald. :) As will Sakuyamon and MegaGargomon.

Agree that 400+ is a bit too bloated for a single game. I think 350 is ideal.

Is there a sheet that shows base stats for all Digimon?

Not at the moment. Digimon that have multiple forms will end up with the highest base stats in their final form. Digimon with only one or two forms will have lower base stats but much higher growth rates.

Hello, at first I wanna say that I love your hack BUT everytime I want to use the EV-IV checker and pressing b after that my game goes black and the sound gets stuck. Also in the Pokémon Team view every digimon is just a white squished circle.

Any help is appreciated because I really wanna play the game!

    Best regards

Sounds like a problem with your emulator. I recommend VBA for desktop and MyBoy for mobile.
Also, did you patch with the "Squirrels" rom?

    Damn that's unfortunate..

I will try it with agb.firm and tell you if it's working there with the native gba hardware in the 3Ds or if it's not working either

  • I dont know if it was asked, but is there an in game way to max a Pokemon's IVs? I dont mind resetting/save stating for a good Nature, but Radical Red has kinda made it hard for me to do ROM hacks without perfect IVs.

The game's not as hard as Radical Red lol. No in-game way to max out IVs, but I think that would be overkill anyway.

  • So I've given the hack about an hour of playtime so far. It's not a bad hack by any means. I just wish that I could fix the IVs and Natures to my liking.

I have a minor issue. The evolution sheet isnt working for me. The whole microsoft excel thing is preventing me from seeing the evolution information. Could you possibly post the evolution chart here or make a seperate download for the evolutions that doesnt involve excel?
