awwww.... Spiritone is cute though.
Maybe make it a twin tailed cat? like the youkai.
As for the Rock typing.... maybe add some gemstones? Amethyst might fit with the Ghost typing.

For fighting types I think Sawk & Throh could fit.
Possibly Makuhita / Hariyama too.

Misdreavus & Shuppet fit imo, but I'm not sure their evos would fit... though you could always make new evos.
A new regional form or evolution for Yamask's evolution could work.
Froslass would fit, but probably not the rest of the line =p

I was mainly thinking of the difference between the unovan evolution and the galarian one.
The unovan one (Cofagrigus) is Egyptian yes, but the galarian one (Runerigus) is more Norse/Nordic/Viking/whatever the correct term is.
They're quite different so I just went 'could probably make a more Japanese version of it too'

And for a regional yamask you could go for a more japanese theme by changing the mask to a kabuki or hannya mask or something like that =3
