Unfortunately, it will probably be way too many redundant, overhyped, lackluster, and unimpressive-looking pokemon, with unique (and probably unnefective) typing. I swear though, if we get any more Bug/Flying or Fire/Fight, I'm done with pokemon. (until the next day)

Definatly over 600. 107 pokemon is too small. at least 120-130 would be good.

GenIV was 107 pokemon, and with the cumulative amount of creativity in those 107, it seemed like too many. >_<

I voted under 600 by mistake. Really, I think we'll have more than that and I'm not complaining. Sure, it seems like a really large number... but gaiz, think back to when there were only 151 pokes. Realize how far we've come and how great pokemon continues to do and smile. :D

    Peace.

    This.

I don't think fourth gen pokemon were that unoriginal at all. There were too many legendaries sure but most the pokemon were either realistic or as original as the previous 3 generations. Personally I think Generation 1 was the most unoriginal of all gens but being the first we had nothing to compare it to.

I think Nintendo will bring the number to around 600, possibly with another 107 added. That or they'll go big and go for 650. :P 600+ for sure.

I'm thinking under 600 or at the barely over 600 margin. Really, 650 Pokemon? In only 5 generations?

im have to say that its getting pretty unbareable, but its a buisness. so they are going to make as many pokemon as possible until they run out of ideas or go bankrupt. with 5 gens into it, i dont think either is happening anytime soon.

Why isn't there an option for EXACTLY 600? :P I actually think it would work out very well if they introduced another 107 Pokemon, the same number as Gen IV. However, I voted for over 600, because I believe that there will be a few legendary Pokemon that will just push it over (maybe some will remain unrecognized until later on, like Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus)

    Over 9...

Hehehe, just kidding. But really though, expect a lot of redundant over-hyped, over-rated pokes, along with:

    Pikachu Clone
Flying Bug with Lower Base Stats then Porygon
    Cannon Fodder Normal Type
    Generic Bird
    Zubat and Geodude!111

Gen V will probably give an estimated total of 632 pokemon. I don't know about legendaries as Gen IV had many god-like legendaries so it would probably be just normal legendaries like the Gen I legendaries.

    it's 600 obviously

    151, 251, 386, 493, 600
    151,+100,+135,+107,+107

see? thats why they added 107 in gen 4, so 107 in gen5 would add up to 600.

I personally don't care how many they add, as long as they're original, non-Gen IV looking Pokemon. I don't care if they have terrible stats or terrible typings/movesets, as long as they look good.

If I see an evoltuion to Lapras, I'll cry.
