I am an omnivore but I eat meat when I'm offered it especially at buffets because it's more expensive than potatoes and veggies, lol.

But this reminded me of my roommate! She's super nice to the point that she doesn't even think about herself and she offered to take me out to dinner for my birthday. We were brainstorming places to go and she mentioned Steak N Shake and I got excited and said I had never been there and always wanted to try it so we decided to go there. On the way out the door, she mentioned in passing that...she's a vegetarian. So we got there and the only thing on the menu (including the salads) that didn't have meat was grilled cheese, so she got a milkshake and let me get a huge steak burger and I felt soooo bad.

What are you? Vegan? Vegetarian? An omnivore? A carnivore? Somewhere in between? I'm an omnivore, I eat meats and fruits (Sorry, not a vegetable fan, bahaha).
What made you choose that? I didn't really choose it, it's pretty much what I have to eat, sooo yeah.
Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed? Nah, never really thought about it.
Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you? Not at all!
Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle? Nope, I let people eat however they want, unless it's something that's damaging their bodies significantly.

    I am an omnivore

    What made you choose that?
I didn't choose. I am human and humans are omnivores.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
    Nope.

Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?
I don't know. The opportunity hasn't really arisen. But, while I consider myself a bit of a foodie, I don't think it would prevent me from being friends

Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
No. Only if I'm pressed first :p

    >What are you?
    I'm an omnivorous beast.

    >What made you choose that?
Taste of different foods. But the initiative was taken by my parents, of course.

    >Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
I am part vegetarian, if you consider the fasting I go through every year. About 1/5 of the year meat and dairy products are off my list.

    >Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?
I find it as hard to associate with them as I do with every kind of different person. Namely, not hard at all.

    >Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle
That's sick. No, I don't, and I won't do it even if you they try to press their diet on me.

Omnivore with a preference towards meat and fruits(God how I love fruit), though occasionally I eat veggies too.
    What made you choose that?
    Grew up that way.
Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?

No and quite frankly I don't want to.
Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?

Why should I? That's like discriminating against someone for their religion, their diet is just as part of them as ours is to us.
Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
No, as long as they leave me alone about eating meat, I'll leave them alone about eating just veggies.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
I tried eating more like subway type stuff or an occasional saled, I could hardly stand it. I need meat.

What are you? Vegan? Vegetarian? An omnivore? A carnivore? Somewhere in between? Mostrly carnivore. Any vegetable not in french fry form disgusts me.
What made you choose that? Meat is tasty. Plants aren't.
Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed? No.
Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you? No, unless they try to press their diet on me. Otherwise, I don't care about the eating habits of others.
Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle? No way, I don't like it when it's done to me, so I'm certainly not going to do it to others.

What are you? Vegan? Vegetarian? An omnivore? A carnivore? Somewhere in between?
Flexitarian, I will eat meat occasionally; but I predominately stick to vegetarianism (plant based diet).
    What made you choose that?
I thought it would be better for my health, also I sometimes feel guilty to be eating any kind of meat at times. I have a very strange diet if I say so myself.
Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
I've tried to be exclusively a vegetarian multiple times, but failed. I needed something in between where I can eat meat occasionally.
Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?
No I do not, it's not something to fret over.
Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
I don't press my diet onto to others, they can eat whatever they'd like. I honestly don't mind.

I eat meat sometimes. Very rarely, though. Like once a month.
    What made you choose that?
Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
I was vegetarian for the first 9 years of my life, but switched back to eating meat.

Carnivore. Always have been, always will be.

    What made you choose that?
I love meat too much to give it up.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
I haven't tried to be anything else. I wouldn't want to try anything else. I'm too set in my ways. >:D

I'm an omnivore but more towards the carnivore side than the herbivore.

    What made you choose that?
Growing up in an omnivore-household, and I've seen no real reason to change.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
Nope. I like meat way too much to give it up, although it would definitely be a challenge to do so for a while.

Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?
Not at all. I live with a vegetarian, a carnivore, an omnivore-who's-more-towards-the-herbivore-side, and two of my friends are vegans. We all eat and co-exist in relative harmony.

Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
Not at all. It's their choice, and I don't feel it my duty to get people eating meat.

I'm an omnivore because that is what I was born as. :p
I feel that being an omnivore allows me have the best of both worlds.
I never really considered trying to become strictly Vegetarian/Vegan or strictly Carnivorous.

Though, I do like trying unconventional meats; want to try horse, buffalo, camel, snake, all kinds of fish.
I blame survivalist shows, Bizarre Foods, and No Reservations...
But not the same as unconventional body parts; I think you know what I mean. >.>

I don't think I know too many people that are strict onto one side.
So I get along with most people people I know, when it comes to food.
I think sharing of culture through food is a great way to socialize with people. :p
I also try to respect others' diet choices and I won't force them to do something.

    Woo No Reservations! Great show.

Buffalo is okay. It's somewhere between veal and beef. It's lean like veal, but more flavourful - but not as flavourful as beef. Not too gamey either.

I don't think I could do horse. Or snake, although I have had eel. Had the opportunity to try ostrich but didn't do it (too expensive). My parents went to some dinner party once and kangaroo was on the menu. I would have tried that if I was invited.

What are you? Vegan? Vegetarian? An omnivore? A carnivore? Somewhere in between? What made you choose that?: Every meals, you can see me eating veggies, meat, and fruits, simply because I want my diet to be balanced. So I'm an omnivore basically.
Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?: No, I stay to my daily diet.
Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?: No, simply because all of my friends aren't that choosy. :'3
Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle? : I try to suggest different kind of diets, and they find it helpful. :') .. I am not literally disgusted by their lifestyle, I'm just trying to help them.

What are you? Vegan? Vegetarian? An omnivore? A carnivore? Somewhere in between? An Omnivore. I basically eat anything edible, as long as it tastes good. There are a few things I don't like, but if my diet isn't balanced, I wouldn't know what is. Diner almost always exist out of Rice/potatoes/noodles/pasta with one or two kinds of vegetables, and some meat or fish.

    What made you choose that?
Grew up that way, my parents said that if we would do/eat the same thing over and over again, we wouldn't enjoy it as much. variety is the spice of life.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
Nope, if I were to adopt a different diet, I'd have to exclude some things from my current one. Why on earth would I want to do that?

Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?
Nope, unless I gotta cook for 'em that is. =/

Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
Not really, as in, I wouldn't ask a vegetarian to try a piece of meat. However, I do ask people a lot to try some things they haven't tasted before.

Ostrich isn't too expensive over here, it's been years since I had it, but it tastes great. I should definitely ask my dad how to cook with it.

    Other "weird" things I've eaten:
-A variety of several types of exotic fruits and veggies (some tasted great, some beyond awful XD),
-Frog Legs (tastes just like chicken, but slimy. this is something I grew up with, so I never considered it unusual XD),
-Squid ( Calamaris, fried squid rings, are sooo good.)
-Rabbit (hmm, can't say I'm too fond of it)
-Crab (tastes great too, though it takes so much effort to eat)
-Sambal made from chicken heart and liver. (tastes really good actually!!!)

My dad has even eaten Iguana and Crocodile.

-Just started being an omnivore, I was a vegetarian for most of my life.

    What made you choose that?
-Just wanted to try something new.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
    -Nope, not really.

-No, imo, that's just pretty stupid.

Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
-No, I don't really care what kind of diet they choose.

    What are you?
I just don't eat red meat. I tend to stick with chicken, turkey, and fish.

    What made you choose that?
I wanted to start eating healthier.

Have you tried to be one of the others, but failed?
I've done one to two week detox diets that don't allow you to eat any meat, processed food, or anything to drink besides water and green tea. Besides that I've never tried to completely change my eating habits long term.

Do you find it hard to associate with people who choose a different type of diet than you?
No. If I'm ever in a situation where everyone is eating foods around me I can't eat I just don't eat whatever they're eating and leave it at that. In the past I've had vegetarian friends and so when I would go to their houses they wouldn't have anything I'd normally eat, but I'd just eat whatever they served. I'm not bothered by that sort of thing.

Do you press your diet onto others, whether because you're just excited about it and want them to try, or are genuinely disgusted by their lifestyle?
Nah, I only mention my diet when asked. Anddddd everyone always asks me so I don't mind sharing, but it's actually not something I like to bring up on my own.

I eat a ton of meat. Like, meat is my favorite. I really really do not eat healthy, at all. Never felt the need or desire to change. But, coincidentally, I can name at least six people I'm friends with right off the bat who are vegetarians and are very conscious about making healthy food choices or whatever. Luckily we like each other enough not to mind that dinner dates with me included get real awkward real quick, right around the time when they bust out the spinach quiche and I remember that all these people have in their houses are things I hate. We have fun.
