How am I supposed to measure specific EV's? I don't know how many per hoard I get w/ pkrs, and the corresponding power item :/

You're gonna have to look up the EVs a certain Pokemon gives before you EV train it. Then comes a little math. Power Items give 4 EVs in what ever stat they're for, and Pokerus doubles the EVs gained. For example:

Weepinbell (2 Attack EVs). 2 Attack EVs+4 Attack EVs from Power Bracer=6 Attack EVs per Weepinbell. Double that to 12 if you have Pokerus. 6 EVs x 5 Weepinbells= 30 Attack EVs per horde (60 with Pokerus).

    That help?

My personal preference is Super Training. Even though it may be less effective than horde battling for some, it's still another option. You still need to keep track of what EVs your Pokemon accumulates, though.

What I'm doing now is working out how much I need to do before hand, so I know to do blank number of whole hordes, and blank number of individual pokemon.

What would be a good answer to flying types BTW?

Galvantula? Decent speed, I could lead with sticky web?

Galvantula is a good Sticky Web lead, but it shares a Fire and Rock weakness with Shedinja.

Why is the Calm Mind+Rest Talk set for Suicune called CroCune? I don't get how you pull CroCune outta the words Calm Mind and Rest Talk (the Cune part is obvious, but still).

Is regular medicham any good? Weak to flying as well, but thunder punch?

Mega Medicham is literally the only reason to use Medicham in the first place. If you're already using a Mega Pokemon, don't bother with Medicham. Thunder Punch isn't worth using; Ice Punch is the better alternative.

    Adamant Raikou

I dont know better place to ask this but you can close this if it's not where it should be, so:
I caught an adamant raikou in soulsilver and should i even bother to ev train him? if i should, how? Is it possible to make him/her a mixed attacker or something like that..

Adamant Raikou is really bad, haha. I wouldn't recommend using it at all. You're better off using Pokemon like Luxray, Electivire, etc. But if you really want to you could use something like...

    Raikou @ Life Orb
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
    - Wild Charge
    - Extreme Speed
    - Hidden Power Ice (?)
    - Volt Switch

Extreme Speed is illegal with Adamant Raikou. -_- All Raikou that come with Extreme Speed are shiny and Rash, as per the Zoroark movie event.

I'm thinking of making a goodra, so.def heavy but, would it be a good idea to build it with a bit of sp.atk to hurt switching in?
If it is, I'm not sure what an exact EV spread I'd be needing.
And I'm debating between assault vest or leftovers

    Here's standard Goodra:

Goodra @ Choice Specs / Assault Vest
    Ability: Gooey / Sap Sipper
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (Quiet if you use Dragon Tail)
    - Draco Meteor
    - Fire Blast / Flamethrower
    - Thunderbolt / Sludge Bomb
    - Focus Blast / Dragon Tail

So yes, you can use a bulky Assault Vest Goodra w/ SAtk EVs with success. Assault Vest will make up for the lack of SDef investment while the higher SAtk lets it have a larger offensive presence.

Is it an option to use thunderbolt and sludge bomb, and replace the focus blast.
Still got dragon stab with meteor, but I don't have any flying or fairy coverage in the team.

Yeah, you can use Thunderbolt and Sludge Bomb/Wave on the set. It's probably better that way. I use a set with Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Sludge Bomb. I don't really see what Goodra needs Focus Blast for.

Though you may not have room for both if you opt for Dragon Tail.

    Looking for a battle

I am very, very new to this forum and am looking for a place to battle and to chat. How do battles work? Do I need cards or can I just choose a random pokemon from my collection and see if it works against other pokemon and battle that way? Please comment and thank you!
