I know that. But why ban all shiny mews from being traded here and not just the 6IV ones (or whatever) then?

Because a very long explanation that I've typed out 10 billion times a day @.@
To even have any possibility of getting a shiny Mew you had to have a Japanese Emerald game and had gotten the Old Sea Chart when the event was available. You then had to reset thousands and thousands of time to get it to be shiny, although I doubt anyone did this because it wasn't known it could be shiny back then. Then later on RNG was discovered and you could then get shinies but by that time I very highly doubt anyone had still kept their Old Sea Chart that entire time. Therefore, the chances of finding a legit shiny Mew are about as likely as you finding a million dollars laying on the ground. It's not going to happen pretty much. So every shiny Mew can be safely assumed to be hacked or the item was hacked in to obtain it. Either way Mew is hacked and since hacks aren't allowed to be traded here shiny Mews aren't allowed to be traded here.
As a note, 6 IV shiny Mews are always 100% hacked, as is shiny 6 IV Jirachis.

You could've made some sort of announcement on it (just like the one you have up now) with link to the reason why you have banned shiny Mews before carrying "it" out so you didn't have to type a bajillion times lol.
js, but there wasn't really a concept of shiny locked Pokemon back then, so who knows some Japanese dude tried to SR for it. But I do see your general point, there's just far too few chances of a real legitimate Japanese Emerald shiny mew lying around compared to those that are genned.

Hehehe, I'm guilty of receiving one of those messages.
Future reference, type something out explaining every little detail, save it and then you can Copy/Paste when you need too. This is how most of my planned out posts go. Especially when Modding a page/group.
EDIT: Actually come to think of it, everything we talked about yesterday would make an extremely helpful resource thread you can link people too. List all the Event Legendary and explain why/why not, in regards to them being Shiny and/or 6IV.

Are Dream World Pokemon locked to not being Shiny or something? I do remember that Arceus was some sort of DW Event.
And speaking of events, let's say I where to play a Gen 4 game and use the Walk Through Walls code and get to Shaymin... then I caught said Shaymin. Would the Shaymin be considered a hack even if nothing was done to the Shaymin itself?

All Pokémon gained directly from the Dream World are Shiny Locked.
Yes this website considers it a hack if hacking takes place at any time while you are gaining the Pokémon.

Ah, alright then, I kind of assumed that was the case. :)
I'm pretty sure I've gotten a legit version of event-only Pokes at various points, so I'm going to make sure that I only transfer the legit ones.
