So... is it true that it'll feature Celebi and time travel!? :(

And... I ain't askin' for a release date, but is the hack discontinued or in development?

Another question: WILL I BE ABLE TO TRANSFER A SAVE FROM AN OLDER VERSION!? Erk...

I hope so. Cuz you could always make a converter that takes all the progress YESses from the old save file and turns them into YESses among the newer NOs. Ya know what I mean?

And the older pokémon...

And everyone in the daycare etc.

You could also, to prevent glitches when loading a save position which is in a map that had changed, make it so that the save converter has your position back on the bed at home.

Possible?

And one last thing: please make the book forest more... interesting and mysterious?

Very fun hack! Did you up the chances of finding shiny pokemon in this game? I've found two shiny mareeps with in 15 minuets apart from each other. I also found a shiny Squirtle sitting out by a cave! Also is it possible to trade and battle with a friend in this game?, Sorry if this is silly question as I'm not very far in yet.

Instead of jumping over that obstacle, you directly jump into those trees o0

I didn't check out the map (or block properties of the tiles next to that place you ended up) in beta 4.0, but there was no such bug in version 4.1 that would have caused you to get there. I don't think I have changed that area since version 4.0 though so I would assume that is due to some emulating error (= emulator caused) but hard to say really...
IPS patching might fail in some situations as well but if there have been no other bugs you have run into, I doubt this would be the cause. But yeah, hard to tell what caused you to get there.

You can put the banner in your signature by editing your signature from your user properties (go to your profile first (by being logged on of course!) and you'll find properties from there) and then editing signature and writing [ img](link of banner from the main post)[ /img] (without spaces) there.

I have indeed been a lazy bastard and haven't worked on this much since beta 4.1 apart from doing some planning. Have had lots of studies to work with (in the university) and my spare time has gone with other things. But yeah - I haven't decided to leave this hack behind or anything, I just haven't felt like using my spare time continuing this.
Hopefully I'll indeed get this hack done someday (and I don't see a reason why I couldn't do it) :) Even if it might take a couple of years.

It might be possible programming a tool for changing the contents of a beta 4.1 save file to support beta 5.0 when it comes but I'm not sure. I haven't checked if the save files are somehow "universal" that would make it possible to do something like this;

Save file from beta 4.1 writes content to address $C809 --> save file from beta 5.0 writes content to address $C9A0.

I think the book forest is pretty good the way it is. It was kinda boring still in beta 3 but I changed it for beta 4.0 to make the forest change every time you insert a new page (instead of just making new forms of eevee's evolutions popping up there).

And yeah, the hack will include time traveling in the final version.

Yeah, shiny ratios of pokemon are different from what they were in GSC. In beta 4, around 1/100 of pokemon were shiny and since that was a bit too much, I think I changed the ratio to 1/500 or something similar to that.

Trading and battling with friends isn't possible in current release. I may make it possible to battle with others in next release though.

I just happen to understand in general, how different things are coded inside the rom and how to manipulate data and write new scripts (even with including asm) pretty easily. It requires some programming knowledge, knowing how bits and bytes work and understanding how different kinds of data can be represented in hexadecimal (8, 16 or 24 bit) format. I learned most of this before I started programming studies in the university though but it took lots of time and patience.
Guys at Skeetendo Inc. were lots of help back then (but I still had to do the learning and experimenting on my own).

Having a small problem with the game. I want to evolve my eevee into an espeon but the game is stuck at night time. I've tried using the games time reset debug code but it won't accept the password. (press down select and b at the title screen and enter a password based on your name money and trainer ID) Is there any other way to reset the time?

EDIT: Never mind, found out my math on getting the password was wrong.

But there is some missing page that I can't get my hands on. I know there is supose to be one on the rich guy house on the island beside the capital but it's locked and i dont know where is the key... and i think this one is espeon so need it to catch 2 legend and also need unbreon that i dont know where it is.... Second. .. where is zapdos. .. and where is the Fisher guy that we have to battle with his magickarp. .. and for now i think I am good... i am just so stock I can't do anything anymore in my game and I love this game so much....

Oh and I can't get the the orb to the north start... every time I get inside the cave when you break the rock .. afther a few step. .. its freezing and i get out of the cave... and i have the Holly hat... what do I do?

The key for that locked house is in Area 109. A man in a secret place in there has it. You couldn't reach him before because you need Surf to get to him.

Zapdos can be found in Area 110 by approaching a certain tile on the left part of the screen (between trees) and pushing A button there (= trying to find a hidden item between trees). Zapdos will fly to you and you'll have to follow it and approach it again and it will fly to research center in Argent Central.

That fisher guy is in Area 110 too but you'll get to his place from Area 111 with Surf.

The Big Shoe (mart) in The Capital is open (people at (Area 121 ?) talk about that). Go there and you'll find a way to get Sweater which will protect you against cold better than Woolly Hat. That doesn't give a full protection either so watch out for not freezing even if you carry it ;)

Just look for between the trees on the left part of the area (by pressing A button while looking - just like trying to find a hidden item).

You're missing one of the six pages. It could be any one of them really.

Mysterious Woods has a meaning in beta 5 and is included in it.
What comes to Mining sidequest, I'm not sure. I could include it in beta 5 for sure, and I probably will, but it won't serve for its "real purpose" before final release.

So yeah, I didn't add that just as a minigame but for another sidequest! :D

I thoroughly enjoyed this hack! I was very surprised that I finished the beta 4, it just makes me want to play more! I just love it. ;o; and most especially the graphics, ah, I love the old ones, they're special to my heart. (Because I effing remember how clueless I was when I first played the Pokemon GBA, the Yellow one. /cries.)

Would Beta 5 be compatible with Beta 4 save? I've been training both my team pokemon and the other pokemon in PC for the next beta. I'm so gonna crush the both trainers and team darkness with my level 70 team pokemon, hahaha. xD

Not too sure I've been assigned any side quests yet since it says "0/7" on my ID card, but this game is so much fun! Definitely would recommend this to other players to try out :D and the battle simulation was a genius idea! Thanks for making this!

I have played this version 4.1 on my 2 Computers (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1) and on my phone I have got 3 profiles on my Windows 7, 4 on my Windows 8.1 and 1 on my Phone and I got to the end every time and I can't wait for more gameplay and all I have left on all the profiles is the pokedex (230 out of 251 seen) (need Poliwag, Gastly, Celebii, Mewtwo? (Not sure if there or replaced like Lugia for Super Onix), Blittisy (evolves from Chansy), Drownie (in FireRed and LeafGreen its in the patch of grass on Island 3 after getting the Natural Pokedex), Unown, Rikeu, Enti, Suecoun, Pre-evolvetion of Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee & Hitmontop and some others I can't remember the names of.)

Really interesting hack you have made and I have just started playing it but using final fantasy and many other rpg games techniques in a pokemon hack is certainly a first for me though have you only added 251 pokemon from kanto and johto or have you added more and what about some pokemon like sneasel and magmar who have evolutions in gen 4 so have you added their evolutions as well????
the pokemon battling thing in the centre is a nice touch for grinding too

Does this hack have a phys/special split like the gen 4 games onward? I figured I'd ask since there are patches for that on skeetendo and a few G/S/C rom hacks (and even some R/B/Y hacks) as of late have been utilizing them.
