    I actually joined these forums just now to say how much I'm enjoying this hack right now, I'm about to fight the second gym and I caught a level 17 shiny Caterpie in Ilex Forest, haha.

    I try to fight against the last gym leader (this is the second city- viridian city or sth like that) but when i try to challenge him, there is nobody inside. The man who is close to the gym says: go and fight with this guy, he is waiting for you but there is nobody. I have collected whole the badges. Do I have to do sth more? Kanto region

    They have been removed. I wish I hadn't but early on development I started deleting all the trainer names because I couldn't find another way to make space for expanded teams and additional trainers. Removing the phone calls was a necessary side effect.

    You have to talk to Blue in Cinnabar Island, once you've done that he should return to the gym and you should be able to fight him there.

    Honestly that doesn't bother me as much as I initially thought it would. Really enjoying it so far.

    I noticed some Pokemon appeared in different areas from the vanilla game!

    Where is Chinchou in this version? I don't know how to use the Pokedex.
    Edit: found Psyduck in the grasses outside the Ruins of Alph.

    Ahh I haven't seen Chinchou yet so I can't use the Pokedex to find it.

    Some Pokemon that you can catch earlier than in vanilla:
    I found a Pikachu and Mankey in grasses near Cherrygrove/Violet City. Abra on the Violet City side of the Dark Cave at night. Dunsparce seem a lot more common as I saw several of them.

    • First, congratulations for making this difficult hack (I've just got my last Johto badge with a level 65 team). But something irkes me.

    I've read in an earlier post that the Flamethrower/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt move tutor is unlocked when you have 7 badges. However, I've looked through Goldenrod City during Wednesdays and Saturdays to no avail. Did you change his location, the days he appears, or even both?

    Anyone with experience using Safeguard? I feel like it could be useful in the Gym battles/tougher battles. I'm considering training up a Meganium, and looking into a good moveset.

    My memory is really getting fuzzy, I forgot gens 1 and 2 share the same pokemon league.

    Btw, where can one find the Waterfall HM? I can't find it in Ice Path anymore. EDIT: Found it just as I crossed Kanto :P

    I'm stuck in the Goldenrod Tunnel switch puzzle. In the vanilla game you press switch 3, 2, 1 but that's not working on my game.
    Edit: door somehow opened after just pressing switches at random. I'm not a puzzle gamer ;D

    So I just made ano account to post on here but I LOVE Pyrite. it's my new all time favorite game. You took a game I grew up with and made it grow up with me. I appreciate all the work you put into this hack. I love the set battle style. no items during battle. the wild location changes and variety early on. the level cap. the held items and how thief works I love everything about it. If there's any way you could put this on a cartridge I would definitely buy it. seriously. can you put it on a cartridge? anyway I'm done ranting but thanks for making this.

    ^I have the same feeling. This is not only the best Pokemon game I've played, but the best Japanese rpg experience. Thanks for a wonderful, meticulously crafted experience. You have done a great service to humanity.

    It would be nice to see all the new shiny colors before dedicating yourself to catching or hatching one
