  • I saw on the #artist-studio discord channel that you're using paint tool sai for all of your work. Is there a reason you have a preference for a single width for you linework? I can see the beginnings of varied line widths on the ends of lines that go through the form for your braixen art.

It's not a negative per say, I just want to encourage you to experiment with your linework since your coloring is very simple. Mister Lua here is a really good example of amazing lines!

Thanks for sharing, I'm just beginner. I had seen Lua's artwork before while browsing around Art Forum. That doesn't fit my style and how I color is simple, I know and I'm still learning how to color

  • i'd say these are pretty good! i like the shading you did in the popplio and gible picture. i think the only critique i have is to make slight adjustments to the anatomy. for example, with the bounsweet picture, the girls left arm looks a little awkward and her hands seem to be too small.

don't have much else to critique on besides that! keep practicing.

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, I'm quite bad at anatomy, I have been watching tutorial videos on Youtube but everything just didn't work out :( So I'm gonna take a break from doing the OC and draw them on Paper because it's easier to understand. That may work out and I can draw them digitally again ^~^

Thanks! I'll surely do Piplup ^-^
About Steenee, it took me about 3~4 hours. About 20 min sketching, 2 hours lining and about 30 min coloring then 10 min last check~

I much prefer the lineless artwork. The one with the linework looks jarring compared to the soft surroundings. I really like the Regigigas a lot, I feel you captured it well.

  • That Regigigas one looks amazing! I prefer the lineless one but the Line one still looks pretty good.
I also like that Litten XD But its legs are a bit off.

  • I really like your showcase. The Popplio looks great and the way you did the bubbles is nice. Your backgrounds are interesting and nicely done. I think I color pretty similar to you and sometimes I like to look at line-less versions and sometimes I just re-color the lines to a darker color for a different look. Your Snivy is the best, it looks perfect to me!
