You completely missed the point of experiments being repeated by multiple people. If they get the same results consistently it can be taken as a fairly solid theory, until someone proves otherwise. This ensures that one person is not fabricating results. It is not about 'popular vs. unpopular' beliefs. Yes, unless others can see that apples consistently fall upwards there's no basis for it being the only way they move.
I was not referring to the fallacies of history at all, but merely what can be proven right now. In fact if you apply that to religion all doctrine should be discredited, due it been written in the past, modified countless times and unprovable.
