Doing my fair share of lurking, but I might as well answer your questions on TF's wall:
That makes it easier to find what you need? -- yes, finding stuff is insanely easy and there is no need to repoint files.
There are bigger pallets in DS? -- map stuff really isn't figured out yet, but since the ROM is allowed to be 2 GiB there's tons of space for stuff; it'd be a valid assumption that pallets are bigger.
There are Animated Sprites for trainers and Pokemon (Could also be a down side) -- yes, stuff is animated. Trainer sprites aren't animated in BW, but nobody has done any research into how stuff is animated
More Space? -- yep, 256 MB roms (2 GiB) and there's still tons of space to add stuff.
More Scripting ability than GBA? -- we're just now starting to figure out scripts; gen V has some really powerful script functions which shows that the scriptability of G5 > G3
But there are downsides? -- lack of research. G3 has taken away many inquisitive minds... it's only a matter of time until brave souls like myself and others figure out enough to start snowballing interest.
I personally think the golden age of the GBA era is coming to an end; BW2 should be the catalyst for this!
