I agree, so much much for separating church from state lol. ESPECIALLY with gay marriage where they point to the bible...and being a Christian myself, I really hate when people pick and choose what they want to have in government from the bible (creationism education =/)...There are some really backwards ideologies in this country. I'm no economist so I won't go there, but social stuff I am fiery about.

And you're right, gay marriage isn't going to pass any time soon, but that's because the country isn't ready for it, just like how we weren't ready for getting rid of slavery at the Constitutional Convention in 1789. IMO the whole issue of gay marriage will eventually be looked back at like "why exactly did we oppose that?" since "redefining marriage" is a pretty awful defense lol. As long as it happens in my lifetime...and I don't just mean California.

I despise social conservatism to the point where I'd probably go Anti-Pop culture Warrior 13 2007 on you and flip out so I just don't bring it up besides when I'm not being serious lol. It's basically because in a nation that has been definied by progress and liberty, withholding liberties to groups of people doesn't make sense to me...basically. But yeah lol

I hate any news channel where the outcome is predetermined...and I don't mean one person like Bill O'Reilly, I mean the entire network. MSNBC and FOX disgust me. They're doing the American people a disservice. The job of a news program is to inform the people and to let them make up their own minds...not some biased load of crap. No network is completely unbiased but those two just need to be banned forever imo.

but you do know that Obama isn't turning us socialist right? I mean in all fairness he really isn't at all and the criticism is completely bogus. I personally have problems with his "bipartisan" stimulus where the majority just ran over the Republicans, but socialism...unless you're saying Obama is turning us into the USSR? That I just don't understand. Russia was socialist. Poland was socialist. North Korea IS socialist. The United States...not socialist.

EDIT: And yeah I know nationalizing banks seems really socialist and everything, but it's not like we're the next Soviet Union so why people are flipping out is beyond me. Wasteful spending is the problem with the stimulus, not socialist stuff. And hey, "socialism" (as in a few temporary socialist policies) worked for Sweden, and I haven't seen a Stalin or Lenin pop up there.

btw my problem with conservatism and the Republicans actually isn't economics but social conservatism (like gay marriage and whatnot). Just so you know and I don't appear completely biased since I'm actually not =p

I got into non-Pokemon anime once Pokemon episodes were deleted from the newly purchased "GooTube," XD. I alternated between six series which my friends had all suggested(Bleach, FMA, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Shaman King, & Naruto), and ended up getting hooked on all of them, and others soon thereafter.
