but yeah i ended up finding my ds, then i dropped it like a few days later and the top screen went blue :(
but im getting a new black DS in a week ^.^ im excited to get a new one lol

Yeah, I notice you on MSN whenever I play 360, lol. I slowed way down with Pokemon for a while, but I'm getting back into it. I was trying to EV train and I had some small success, but I'm giving up on it for now. It was taking forever and draining the fun away anyhow.

40 is a safe number. I stop at 40 and reset until I see the patch. And yeah if the chain breaks....your chances of seeing a shiny is still slim. It's a matter of luck and patience

Oh yeah I can give you tips! Chaining is the best way to get a shiny. Max repels and a big patch of grass is your best bet. Electric types, steel and swarms are easier to chain than regular pokemon. There are guides out there that helps with chaining that's how I learned how to chain

Well I've been successful in chaining for one shiny that I have. I just got another shiny yesterday but it was from an event someone was holding for christmas. So I guess the answer is no lol sorry

No it will just add to your pokedex and SR'ing is soft restting the game, it is just pushing 4 button so your don't go through the whole process of starting over again, your not really turning the game all the way off. And the date is march 22nd when that comes out.
