[ARCHIVE] Simple Questions (SEARCH BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION)

Due to the extremely high level of compression in the games, there is no level editor released. If you're handy with a hex editor however, I've got some info on it, mostly from the old Acmlm archives.

    (All Games) Type Weakness/Strength Changing

That's an excellent observation; I'll go test that. EDIT: Gargle's absolutely right. If you want a type weakness/resistance to be set to x1 when using Foresight, put it behind the $FE.

    Research: ARM Code tutorials

Nifty. Got any info on gbz80?

    Safari Gold

Blockdata for maps is around offsets A8000-B3FFF in Crystal, should be the same for Gold and Silver. I found one beta map on my own (but Coolboyman also found it on his own, apparently) by simply documenting the blockdata for existing maps and looking for gaps. The Safari Zone is unique in that...

    Safari Gold

That's certainly a possibility -- after all, they fixed the Missingno. encounter glitch in Yellow. They didn't run out of space. Gold and silver have plenty of space.

    Safari Gold

That's hardly it -- G/S have a huge amount of free space (including a whole bank!). The developers may have just wanted to make something new and implement the National Park, or (more likely) they were rushed in development and had to leave out some features.

    Safari Gold

You can't. There's tons of beta stuff still in regular G/S, though.

    2nd Gen The Evee Question

To evolve an Eevee: To Flareon, use a Fire Stone (any time of day). To Vaporeon, use a Water Stone (any time of day). To Jolteon, use a Thunderstone (any time of day). To Espeon, make it very happy, then raise it one level during Morning or Daytime. To Umbreon, make it very happy, then raise it...

    Scripting in Gold

Tauwasser once wrote an excellent post at Acmlm's detailing how to script. http://acmlm.no-ip.org/archive3/thread.php?id=8786 (yeah I linked it, it's an archive anyway and you can't register)

FireRed hack: Pokémon Crystal Shards "The Return"

Sure you do. The Clear Bell allows you in the bottom floor of the Tin Tower, where you can catch Suicune. Once you catch Suicune, Entei, and Raikou, one of the sages in the tower gives you the Rainbow Wing and allows you to go to the higher floors.

    2nd Gen Pokemon Gold Emergency

What do you mean by "master code"? There are tons of Gameshark codes, and each does different things.

    2nd Gen The Evee Question

The only time of day that actually matters is the time of day that it evolves. You can train it any time of day, but you have to actually evolve it during the morning or afternoon.

    1st Gen Missingno

No. Fossils are key items, meaning that they don't have a "x1" next to it. This means if you somehow get more than one, depositing the item in the PC will mean you have a slot in the PC holding a fossil and one in your bag holding a fossil. If you keep depositing items, your PC will fill up...

    2nd Gen silver-missing part

The missing part is in the small pool in the center of the square. Just press A at each of the four water squares and you'll find it.

    Scripting in Gold

It should also be noted that the scripting codes are slightly different in Crystal, due specifically to the Pokegear phone and the Mobile Adapter's removed functions.
