Black, for sure. :P I'm pretty big on shades of purples too, orange and at times red. Blue might just be my second favorite though haha. Not sure why, green just doesn't appeal to me all that much. I definitely like it better than say... yellow though lol.

Oh, for the layouts? Most people make theirs. Most of us have PC albums that hold our layout images in them. Looking and around and seeing how other people do em helps with some ideas.
