Thanks for taking the time to post such an in-depth review! I will take these points into account when recreating the maps. I just have a quick question though. What do you mean by tree shading?

The bottom left part of the map is very square. I would add some variation to the trees. I won't critique the flowers by the Gym, though there are quite a lot. However, the flowers at the top of the map should be spread around the town, not clustered all together. There is an obvious tile error...
