I think its fine. I have a seedot on level 63 and still growing. I evolved my starter though, just for the moves.

cause they say you can catcha latias and than level it up to level 67 than go on a rocket to the moon. It looked real to me...... but hey you sould smart....

I got Latias because it help more and leveled up nicely.

I had my blaziken on level 63 and my kyogre was on level 69 and I had a golbat on level 59 and then some pokemon under 55
