  • Thanks! I like yours too. Who is he? Looks familiar. And it's uhh...tiresome. Haha. I have to go back to the field in a few minutes. Last night the rookies had a scavenger hunt and my section leader was all "oh it shouldn't take them more than an hour" but when you're sending them to 10 different places across big ass campus, it ends up taking two hours. lol Got home after midnight last night (er...this morning?) lol. Got more stuff to do tonight and tomorrow night also! Fun fun. How's school (if you've started)?
Why, yes I am. Too bad it's getting no usage since I've been busy with band camp lately, and I'll probably change it soon when I get the time. lol :(
More often than not, if you hate high shool than you'll love college. And don't worry about clubs and whatnot, schools usually offer things that are pretty sensitive to their student's comfort zones. But if it's worth anything, I've always heard that Year Book Club was a joke, so maybe that could be good for resume filler? Shyness is something that people usually grow out of but, if not, than I can guarantee that it will get easier to manage. Besides, admitting there's a problem is the first step to recovery! Shyness is something that can be stemming from other insecurities, but I really don't get that feeling from you. You seem pretty well managed, self aware, and mature. Let me just say though, competitive battling, no matter how silly or childish it may seem, is a great outlet. At least your shyness is being confronted by interacting with people through a computer, which is just as essential in terms of social skills, but not as confrontational. That, my friend, is a healthy coping mechanism. So no matter how detrimental shyness may be in your personal life, you are doing something to deal with it within your comfort zone, whether intentional or not. And for that you, should be very proud of yourself. :)
The Jersey Shore is probably the worst... and most accurate... representation of New Jersey. I'm not proud of it, but it's the truth. Luckily, I live in North Jersey, so I'm a fair distance away from that debauch, third-world hell hole they admirably call the "Jersey Shore". As you can see, I don't like it. It's nothing against the Shore or the people, it's really just me. :x But yes, I am in college. And I freaking love it. I took a few years off when I got out of highschool to mess up a whole bunch. But now that I'm financially and emotionally ready to do it, college has been the most rewarding experience in my entire life. In my case, I just needed to grow up a little first and get all of the "Jersey Shore" out of my system... if you understand what I'm saying..

You shouldn't underestimate yourself! You're very well spoken, not to mention personable, especially if you're only in high school. Those are characteristics to flaunt to the world, not to keep to yourself, silly. :) But I'm sure when you enter college, it'll be just as awesome. It's a pretty demanding atmosphere, but the quality of education is twice that of high school. In college, you work for you, not for anyone else... Besides, you pretty much have to try to fail, you know? :p
