This is a good example of their older work; this is off of 21st Century Breakdown. Huge difference in the sound and the tone of the lyrics.

Punk rock is my favorite genre; I know punk when I hear punk. So yeah, you tell these people, because they don't know what they're talking about. They act all bratty on stage (they're punk, that's what they do), but they are adults and do have lives.

They didn't sell out. They grew up. They're just as punk as they were before; they've created a sound that's unique to them. And, I must say, Billie Joe's song-writing has improved so much since Kerplunk! The band members are really hot, too, so that helps~
