  • I am disappointed that you haven't commented on how much I am winning with the last line of my signature -_-
I did, his said that you should try shiny quagsire's one first. Could it be because I just copied the hex code since the download link was down?
That would probably be more helpful if I knew asm lol

So if I did it the hard way, would the routine look like this?
    Spoiler:
Yeah but that causes other issues, apparently you can't fish underwater :(

By main, do you mean the code under "main:" or literally just the main part of it?
Just a little question about the Dusk ball routine in this thread: If my hack doesn't have RTC is it fine to insert it like it is? Or can I remove part of the routine so it only works in caves?
Sorry, I'm new so my terminology regarding Disassembly/Decompiling/Debugging is sort of shoddy. I opened up a fire red idb I got on Github, and while it will show me a lot of the memory, it won't show me .thumb(unless it's not supposed to..?). Also, opening the Emerald idb won't show me anything but the text you can view to your right in a hex editor. :| I'm stumped. Furthermore, whenever I open the idb in IDA, it says that some of the memory may be invisible, or something to that effect.
Sorry. I was trying to ask about IDA, the popular Disassembler that everyone around here seems to use. I wanted to know what I should do if IDA tells me that GDB(I think that's what it's called) cant view the memory, thus parts of it may be invisible to me.
I can't, I'm avoiding Christos and Spherical Ice until I un-bugg my ROM lol. I tried to decompile-recompile a script in old XSE without repointing, and it managed to fuck up my ROM. I think it did a paste-insert, rather than a paste-write. :(
It's not me, April first PC becomes the most unbrowsable site ever.
Gimme a few hours and I will give you a full-length answer ;)

PS: Thanks a lot for the support and for the offer! I'm taking it!
So it's just a single byte for each ball, right? And the order is the same as the order of the actual pokeballs?
Just wondering, did you ever figure out custom particles for your Pokeball hacking tutorial? Also, for the table you have listed for the particles (at 0840C068), If I'm sticking to the original number of Pokeballs could I just edit it to change particles?
