  • Housing selection proess is a monster, and I should know.. I've lived in dorms for years. i don't mind it, though, you are close to classes and clubs and stuff and don't need a car (and pay the parking fees and dealing with the evil parking enforcement people who will ticket you for ANY reason).

Pretty fancy:) Though I stayed at another one of their locations and the room was kinda small and dark... I guess it depends on when they were last remodeled.

Cool! Lisa wears outfits that she thinks are cute, but she does tend to be on the girly side... hence all the skirts and dresses :) Unfortunately, I had an incident in 4th grade gym class that really makes it a pain to walk, so I'd probably want to drive. Plus, in her car, Lisa can enjoy her plush seats, air conditioning, and stereo system, and she's protected when it rains :)

I know that feeling. Problem is on that other site, you basically had to put up with it, since if you said you were just writing your way (as I tried to argue) they would come at me even worse, making threats to get you kicked off the site. PC isn't like that, fortunately, which is why I''m still here. Some people really liked Lisa, but there were always those few who didn't for mostly stupid reasons. And I pretty much said outright that I wouldn't change Lisa just because of the complainers. If I did, then she wouldn't be Lisa anymore, and I wasn't about to suddenly turn her into someone she wasn't.

On a lighter note, I just finished updating my signature today! What do you think?
    Ouch D;
    Most stretching I do is warming up ;u;
Why do they need to 'strech' you? ..Wait, how do they 'stretch' you?! I heard a girl was sick when she was forced to do the splits!!
Eh, I didn't have ~that~ much trouble with Misty because I had a butterfree. :3 But yeah, Starmie was kind of tough. x___x

Social Work~ It's mostly Social Science and all of that stuff. :3
Ohh ballet is quite cool in my books too. I once went to see Swan Lake (on ice though). It was so beautiful and hardly anyone made a mistake (or at least I didn't see anyone make one).
I'd like to see more ballet but I don't know much about it X) Jazz and hip hop sounds good too although I've only ever seen hip hop. How long have you been doing it for?
Yeah, that was! x3 In pokemon yellow, I used to have trouble with Surge's Raichu a lot. xD

Ah, cool. :3 Which class did you pan on taking? ~

    Sure, go ahead. ^^
Getting a single in a dorm can be luck of the draw... my building was designated as singles, though it was considered "upper-level" which pretty much means you couldn't get in there till sophomore year unless you were very lucky. But sometimes you can get a single elsewhere... but you have to pay extra for it, and there's always a chance someone could move in mid-year if housing is at full capacity. For a room alone, you're better off staying off campus unless you can find your way into a dedicated singles-only building or section.

And yes, hotels are awesome, especially after a long day on the road. They're also a nice change of pace from being at home all the time. Quality Inn is my favorite chain, BTW.

Nice :) Wonder if she's as obsessed as Lisa about wearing only dresses and skirts :) And yeah, 10 is definitely too young. I don't know who came up with that age... in fact, if I felt I could get away with it, I'd have Lisa travel everywhere behind the wheel of her big old gas-guzzling luxury car :) I know I couldn't walk the whole length of a route without my feet huring like heck.

Definitely post it here... you may attract other readers as well... hopefully not the complaining sort... I had a few on another site who complained about every little detaiil of my story... and who resorted to personal insults attacking my intelligence. It's why I no longer go to that site. I mean, they complained because Lisa is a math whiz, because she has a car, because she has money, because she doesn't dress like a tomboy, because she doesn't cook or camp out, and... get this... because she's a SHE. Can you believe that?
Same here, though somehow I lucked out at college and got rooms to myself :) Still, there's a certain charm about having major name brand hotels in a story that Pokemon Centers just can't replicate... plus they're just a cheap rip off of Red Roof Inn :P

Cool! Lisa's 15 at the time of the story, so she's a late starter (though she has college as an excuse lol). I just hope you don't have her riding in the back of a moving truck as the story starts, though... that's (one of) the (many) things I've always disliked about the R/S/E games, it definitely isn't safe to ride back there, lol, Ooh, I think I'd be interested to see if she has similar fashion tastes to Lisa :P A warning, though... I've found out that people will find ANYTHING to complain about when the read Pokemon fan fiction, and having an older trainer is one of those things... I don't have a problem with it, and you shouldn't change it just because of that, but people will complain... they did about Lisa:/

Lisa's kinda the opposite... she already starts out pretty unique (college grad, math whiz, obsessed with old cars), but she changes a bit during the story. Nothing that will make her want to camp out in the wild, mind you, but she does change a bit :P

Are you thinking of posting yours in PC's fan fiction section? If you do, it might give me a reason to visit that part of the site again...
I know, right? Camping out in the wild terrifies me, and from what I remember of the Pokemon anime (before I stopped watching it) the Pokemon Centers were rather bare-bones as well. I mean, is it too much to ask for free wireless and free deluxe coninental breakfast? I'm a bit of a "hotel enthusiast" so you'll see plenty of hotels mentioned in my story, lol.

Thanks, I'm just looking anything to get me a bit of money so I can move somewhere better and get a job somewhere I actually want to live.

Awesome, I'll be looking forward to it! If you don't mind, I'd like to know a bit more about your character!
Yeah, I like giving the little guys a try. Plus I really don't like the art style of those series...

Awesome :) Then you noticed where Lisa prefers to do her sleeping, right? :P And you'll see what that title entails :)

Definitely, any jobs I want are too far away to do an in person interview, and being in the middle of nowhere means there are no jobs in the area...

Well, show me sometime, I'm really looking forward to reading it :) I have a friend who's writing a story too, and it's like the only one I'm reading right now.
My favorite series are actually the lesser known ones, like Luminous Arc, Atelier, and a couple others. Aside from Tales, I'm not a big fan of the big-time ones like KH or FF...

Awesome... that's what I was going with with them... they have some terrifying goals, but some of their members are... well, I don't know how they passed the interviews. lol

I'd probably really like to live down there, only problem is I'd be unable to do an in person interview since I'm all the way up in New York... I'd need to be promised a job before I could relocate to anywhere decent.

Yeah, even harder to find one that isn't about a boy... mine might be the only one like that, that i've seen get past the first two or three chapters before they were given up on. And honestly, I couldn't care if they were cliche or whatever; I'd rather just read something straightforward that doesn't hurt my brain trying to figure out what's going on. I'm actually not too big on literature in general; only reason I wrote Pokemon fan-fiction is because of my dissatisfaction with the Pokemon anime. I said to myself, "You know, I could write a better journey story than the writers of the anime." And so the monstrous 55 chapter project you see before you was born :)
Yeaah, well Florida is a nice family holiday place really so it's no surprise, I've loved it every time!
Yeah, I'm more into anime right now... I've actually only read a few manga series, and besides Pokemon I'm mostly into JRPG's. I really don't get into the popular series unless they happen to match my interests, and I'm not into action unless it involves magical girls :)

Maybe, maybe not... Lisa might try to cheat the system and avoid camping out, I know I would. That will be revealed soon enough :) But lucky, you get to live in a city and have a source of income... more than I have...

Maybe... I'm not much into reading stuff anymore, and I actually like reading the traveling through a region stories as long as all the main characters are girls... and that's not something I see too much of, sadly. But let me know if you see any like that! Anyway, glad to hear you're doing well, and I guess I could be worse... at least I can still get online :)
Wow, that's lucky for you! I'd love to live somewhere like that because Florida Orlando is my favourite place (or one of them) to visit in the world and it's 9 hours away for me on a plane and for you it's literally right on your doorstep haha ^^! I might be going again in April 2012, hopefully anyways!
Well, it's easy to hit 20 series if you look a bit for series that match your interests... there are a bunch of relatively unknown series out there that are just as good as the more well-known ones... Just gotta know where to look!

How true :) Lisa doesn't mind her hair as much as her clothes, but traveling out in the wild is certainly gonna be a challenge for her... as you'll find out throughout the story :)

I want to move back to the city ASAP, but that's gonna be dependent on me finding work and moving out of the house... the rest of the family likes it in the country, and I'm still baffled as to why. There's like nothing to do and nowhere to go :/

Okay:) Just remember when Chapters 5-7 roll around that the story was written in 2006 and reflects events that were happening during that time... particularly any sports scores that might be mentioned *hint hint*

So, how have you been? Anything interesting coming up? As for me, nothing interesting, sadly, though I at least have anime and games to keep me entertained and (kinda sane, lol)
Yeer, I went on Mission Space but I didn't like it! Also it used to be what the Simpsons is, luckily I went on Back to the Future the DAY before it closed! so I got a go on it nontheless, haha! are you from around there then?
