Usually what i do first is think of a fairly well-known fandom to set the example in, and then go from there. Like, so far I know I've used Sherlock Holmes, Pokemon, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and more.

Why? We did these things against out will. Besides, at least you'll be writing something that's helpful to other writers. My slash fanfic just destroys every shred of dignity the characters had (and nobody ships that pairing anyway).

Back in Emerald, I always thought it was interesting how Wally had a team comprised of "girly" pokemon.

My own fanfics are also so scattered because I can't stay in one fandom for very long. I've stayed in this pokemon for four months straight only because ORAS is coming, and I've wanted that game for nearly a decade.

I actually wouldn't, because I'm not a writing or fanfiction expert. I find it very hard to read fanfics that I don't like. Unless they're so bad they're funny.

Fanfic writers know that advertising your fic like that makes everyone not want to read it, so no to the first thing.

Nolafus says you can't bump a story unless there's a new part, so no... although I'll post the coda here eventually.
