Most people here get jobs and get what they can within their means. In fact, I work with 3 classmates at my job, and it's a very decent job with really good pay. One friend of mine saved up money and got himself a used car for $5000. Although, there are still a small number of people that have their parents get them everything, though. Mostly, though, the only amenities kids pay for is their cellphone bills or insurance for their vehicle, if it isn't already covered by the parents.
Pakistan, huh? Having your education like that can be both bad and good when you think about it. But then it all falls back to what you did say: "What they can't afford, you can't have." If you attempt to pursue high education, you'll have to spend top dollar to get it, but not everyone can, even here it's like that.
