The way I look at it (and the way it should be), it's not the place of the members to tell the Staff how to do their job (let alone an Admin). No one these days is thrown into the Admin spot right off the bat, most of the time it takes years to get to an AA spot. So where does anyone who hasn't been on the PC Staff (again... let alone an Admin) come off telling the Staff how to do their job? Like I said, the other day I had someone telling me how to do my job. I've been on the Staff for 6 years, I don't need anyone on PC to tell me what I should and shouldn't do.
Like I said before, I think a Staff member should help someone in need if they can. But if they don't want to then that is up to them.
Take Erica/Lightning for example, she is the best Staff member PC has, and one of the best PC has ever had. But if you look at her sig, she doesn't want to take rep requests, she doesn't want to "help the members". That is up to her on what she wants and doesn't want to do.
I won't touch anything that deals with RPs, Emulation, Art, and a few other forums. If a member comes to me about something in one of them forums I'll tell them I'm not going to take care of it because I don't deal with them forums. That is my choice, the members can cry "OMG As an Admin it's your JOB to take care of it." all day long and I'll just ignore them. If I don't deal with it, then it's just too bad, that member has to go to someone else.
Same as above, if it's something I don't want to deal with then I don't deal with it. I leave that up to people who go to them forums. But just because I don't deal with something doesn't mean the member can run off, cry about it and go "IT'S YOUR JOB" and be in the right. It's just the way things work.
And as for that link, I'm not his judge. If he does something I don't like I'll tell him. But what went on there is between you and him. If you don't like what was done tell him, I don't think it'll do anything but at least you told him about it.
You might think all of this is stupid, harsh, wrong, it's "our job" and all of that. But I'll say this... your prospective on PC is totally different then mine, or some of the Staff. The Mods sees things differently then say the... SAs. I'm not saying one group is right or wrong. But if you were getting PMs, and VMs every single day about rep you get sick of it and don't want to take care of it anymore. Same goes for "little things", things we see as pointless yet the members sees it as some great big thing. And that's when the line is drawn, the members just know they're right and they're taking on the big bad Staff and so on. I don't care to be told off by a member saying "You don't know what you're doing when it comes to the Staff." as long as that person doesn't care to be told off by someone who's been on the Staff for 6 years. It's not bragging (it's the truth, I've been here for 6 years), and I'm not always right. But like I said, it's different being a Staff then it is a member. People think it's the same, people think "well I could do that", it's no walk in the park and things aren't so cut and dry as everyone thinks.
