But it still isn't a RTS, which makes it less of a strategy based game.. I mean, I went all out strategy on my noob friend who just used a Mewtwo and raped my whole team because of its speed, special attack and variety of powerful moves it can learn. :/

Well, as a World of Warcraft player, "wipe" means when your whole team gets killed by a boss or an extreme amount of mobs. In other words, wipers are Pokemon that can kill your entire team if you can't stop their speed and attack.

Tbh I never saw Pokemon like a game of tactics.. the tactics you can follow are very limited to standart attack and defenses, moves, etc. If you ever play a (real) RTS game, you'll know what I mean.

I call them wipers. From wipe. Makes more sense :D

Yeah, that's so true! Tactics based on psychology are awesome, but sadly they won't work on pure pro battlers on Smogon, for example..

True, but Jolteon is a semi-wiper, which is more useful than a normal Pokemon like Lanturn.

lol indeed it'd instanly turn into a powerhouse with only a boost in its defenses and max health, can you imagine it? Recovering 30% of its maximum hp every turn + protect = 60%, lol
But if it was busy using Aqua Ring and Protect, what damage would it do? :/

Much better? It's not as speedy or has as high Sp. Atk as Jolteon and a good counter/wiper/assasin like Garchomp would easily take it out.. Yeah, same goes for all electric Pokemon, but oh well..

Water ring? I think that's only a troll move :D

They might have limited movepool, but their Thunders with 100% accuracy when raining are truly a pain in da butt xP
I like Ice types too, but Vaporeon isn't an ice type :x :D

My favorite Pokemon is still Jolteon and will always be Jolteon, my favorite move being Discharge xD
