Well I'm in art 'cause I can't dedicate myself to anything else, even though I like a good bit of other stuff. Mostly science-related.

I've been in college for three years. That's largely why I don't crank out finished art pieces very often. Maybe like one big painting or something every month or three. The overwhelming majority of my hobby art is doodles, sketches and some unfinished paintings, and isn't of the polished caliber I'd like it to be so that I can say it's gallery-worthy. That stuff tends to get compiled into sketch dumps so at least I can show the folks of dA that I do indeed draw all the time/haven't fallen off the planet.

I stopped caring about trite Pokemon spriting very quickly. I think I did one fusion and a couple trainers before going 'this is lame' and started pixeling my own stuff, and did quite a number of things in I think 06/07. Then I went on a couple-year hiatus from it until the contest made a return last spring and basically gave me an excuse to make pixel art again. I still do it only rarely though, pretty much just for the contests since I'm more focused on my other media as well as schoolwork.

It wasn't so deadpan like this a few years ago, but now it's like there's no point trying to resurrect it unless it just happens naturally. I'm happy to see that Pixel Art has come out of that state. Before long it'll be back to the way it was, and now that the monthly contests are back, and even weekly ones, it should encourage master pixel artists to compete.

Back in the day, every great pixel artist on PC entered those contests. There were so many great entries, and I was pretty decent but not as good as I am now. I've been wanting to pit my much-improved skills against the greats here but the contests kept going on lengthy hiatus and most of the old competition left or just doesn't bother pixeling anymore. They should be back for good, I hope. New/different pixel masters have also popped up (although aragornbird isn't new, he's just been gone forevers) to be potential rivals! >:3

Well, I do tend to totally lose track of lengths of time when it gets into multiple weeks or more. I didn't care to check up on it much 'cause I knew it was pointless, especially after it fell off the first page.

I know there was a recent thread in the support/help section thing where someone asked about that one month limit and I think Lightning or somebody said they'd change it to unlimited, since I think the pixel art section has no limit and they said there shouldn't be a reason to impose something like that especially in such an inactive section. Personally I stopped caring right around then and am just content to enter pixel art contests, and if anyone cares enough to see my other art, they know where to look. No more formatting out whole threads for no reason.

You mean the last one I made a few weeks ago? Dead as a doornail - just got pushed off page 2 I think a couple days ago. No comments. I don't make fanart and I don't make noteworthy art fast enough to keep a thread going, so I'm probably not gonna make another one.

True, Black Rose isn't necessery f or plants, but plants can get it out very easily and its effects have saved my butt on many occasions.

Well I'm not sure. My mom barely uses her laptop outside of typing and since I have a phone with free internet access I doubt she would hook up some wifi. I would but I'm broke and junk.

Well one day I was browsing the internet and the plug was knocked out. Put the plug back in and it went to the system recovery screen. Turned it on and off and same thing. So apparently we had to order this system recovery disk for it to be back fully function at the price of $20. And wouldn't you know it didn't work so yep. My mom has one of those mini acer laptops but she won't tell me the password and top that off with no internet connection.

Well, finally back now... too late for the Duelathon. We could still have a fun duel sometime.

I would love to sometime but....I don't have a computer so no YVD sadly. I really want to duel some off you guys so badly though. Just to show how noobish I am lol
