  • Only point of real criticism (apart from the "is thrashing about" without a subject, which may be a small script thing) is those slope tiles (you know, the mach bike only tiles) being used incorrectly (should be 2 tiles high, not one)
No it's not if you do the same mistake twice... It's actually sensible, as you didn't read the rules at all. It's like points on your driving license, if you speed twice, you get points both times.

It's actually due to the hacks being worked on slowly, people prefer to comment and play on the SHowcase ones due to progress and overall being polished.
Dude, still should follow the rules.

And also, if it's a post that was there before being infracted, that doesn't mean a thing, it perhaps still wasn't a wise post, so it's perfectly legit to get an infraction for. You could have known if you read the rules.
... No, it was perhaps sensible, as you get warned, and if you carry on, you get infracted, as you clearly haven't learnt your lesson if you do it again, so why warn again if the message didn't sink in?
I dunno. Maybe it was one of those two - five people. I definitely knew about it. I wasn't a fan, I'm not a fan of many hacks... but I was aware.
I never played them, I don't play many hacks. I just remember them from your sig and other people saying how awesome they were... I'm punny... ;)
I only knew like, 10-12 were interchanging.

I think all of our first hacks had problems like hers. And I think that's why we usually restart and create another hack, our hacking skills improve. I just restarted a hack that has died three times. Twice my fault, once unfixable glitch. But now, it actually won't suck because I have knowledge that I didn't have before. Some people just try to throw a crap hack out there and say "look at me, i'm so awesome" and then when we don't, or give helpful criticism, they freak out. Some people, haha.
I was more or less bashing DarkRisingGirl actually, haha. I know you're trying.

And I did not know that. Thats actually pretty helpful.
I can see why you'd do that, but to me it just seems.. Yeah, disorganised. I know what you mean about the null glitchy blackness, but the tile inserter in me really likes what you did. It may limit you later on though, as it allows for less unique settings in individual towns and such (then again, maybe not, but it certainly looks interesting)
Yeah, it makes sense. In fact, the hack I'm working on right now has different biomes...

Anyhow, what I'm saying is that the tiles' styles are what don't match. On one side you have B/W trees and a gate from Unova and on the other you have FR/Lg grass and flowers. It's just graphically unappealing in some sections, if you understand this.

The best thing anyone can do in a hack is evening everything out to one style, which is difficult, especially if one isn't good at making tiles. Experimentation takes forever, but it's by far the best option. Patience is key.

EDIT: Also, if you haven't noticed, palettes 9-12 change from map to map, allowing for incredibly broad palettes for different areas. Just though I would let you know, since a lot of the palette 12's aren't used in the ROM and you seem to be space challenged.
May I just say that some of your tiles don't fit together, like those houses and that massive building on the side in one of your screenshots.
