I'm understanding that aspect of it. What I'm trying to understand is that if I head out tonight and lets say I take one Gym, then take another, and take 3 more - if I collect coins after this without any Gym being taken over; how many coins would I retrieve? Further, if I were to only take (1)...

For clarification purposes. Is it (1) gym for 10 coins a day? OR Can I obtain X amount of gyms and receive 10 coins per gym obtained? Thanks for the clarification before hand. :)

I believe if you have a Pokemon Defending is what activates the shield. I've yet to just drop a Pokemon in a gym to see if it gives coins, but it wouldn't help to try.

If you attack a gym that is owned by your own team, it's classified as training. You won't get coins from this, but you'll want to challenge or take over a gym that is owned by the other side. Hope I was helpful.

I wanted to share this because I literally just found out yesterday. I've been under the assumption that when you take over a Gym that you must wait 20+ hours in order to retrieve your coins. However, this new found knowledge was shared with me yesterday; which caused me to share with you all...

Heaven forbid a game that actually becomes a challenge. Does every game have to be as easy is 1-> 2 -> 3? I've actually found them running off more frequently to be hilarious. You run 30 balls and the guy just leaves, for me its hilarious. In my opinion, it gives the game a sort of excitement...

Can you share where you've read this? I'm currently looking into this so I can find a process to use to dive deeper into the Pokemon that I find. Your assistance is greatly appreciated or others that may come across this thread and assist.

Were you testing the beta? If so, it went live not to long ago. So the deletion may just be due to Pokemon GO, going live instead of the test environment.
