Mmmm, other than the notable level jumps, I found the hack to be pretty good!
The sprites are the best part tbh, a far leap from the whole two Digimon rom hacks I had played like... 5-6 years ago that had really bad sprites
I've gotta ask: Is Lavorvomon just... unable to be captured or just has a stupidly low catchrate? I've thrown like 30 Ultra Balls at the thing, always making sure it's at red HP AND asleep, but it just insists on not staying in the ball
Well yes I know that, it's just kinda hard to beat Brock when his Kudamon not only has Storm Drain, making Water moves useless against it, but also has Powder Snow, making Grass mons not viable since they'd just die in one hit
So I walked into this knowing "Hey, the creator didn't say this would be easy, it should be fine", but man, having to grind against super low levelled mons when Brock has a Lv.16 and a Lv.18... kinda makes me worry that the rest of the game isn't balanced right at all
Like... levels that...
So, just wondering about the "Game (old).exe" file
Is it meant to be like... a measure to ensure that people with weaker computers are still able to play the game?
Well, I'm sure no one expected to see something from this thread again, but as I've been doing a Steel Monolocke of this game lately, I've been wondering if there's like... a text file or Google Doc with the encounter tables for this, as I can't seem to find one... anywhere
God... this ROM Hack has been... rough. I'm only one badge in and I'm just... there's difficulty, and there's bullshit difficulty. That first "Rival" Battle at Cerulean Bridge was just... there was nothing you can do against that damn guy unless you just... get lucky. I really wish I knew when...
Wait so... is the game supposed to be in the monochrome colors, or did I just somehow do something wrong?
Edit: Okay nevermind, I just wasn't on "Super Game Boy Mode", so I was just an idiot
