I haven't heard anything about the anime coming to a close, and to be honest that would be completely silly as the anime actually follows the manga (minus the anime only episodes). I haven't heard any news on the manga ending either, so I don't think it's ending just quite yet. Aoyama does have an ending for Detective Conan in mind though.
