It's just an effect that makes images like this look more 3D.

And look at his arms. With the black background on your profile, the one I used bevel and emboss on looks like it has skinnier arms. If you open the link in a new tab or paste it somewhere with a black background, you can see the difference a little better.

Nah, it's cool. I guess it's not that big of a deal to most people, but it's really cool knowing that my pictures are going to be in a hack. :D I really hope Citrine (?) turns out great. :) Seems cool so far.
