My favorite part had to have been when my Charmeleon evolved into a Charizard for the first time. Never used a single pokemon after that, in that play through. Nothing like beating the E4 at level 82.

I wonder if they could pull of an Ice/Fire type. How would that even work? Freezer burn? The only way I could even see it being possible without being totally out of the question is a pokemon based off an icy volcano. Actually I'm not sure adding the ground super effective, and making rock 4...

Yes, I've been using Ice types but I am far from mastering them and their weaknesses, but I did pull off a win versus a fighting monotype player because of a lucky crit :3

Team Magma because if they ended up expanding the land there would be less water pokemon, and since there are more water pokemon than any other type in the game it would only make things more even.
