    Hey, I'm new to PC and would like to introduce myself. It's different for me to have anyone to talk to about pokemon considering I know absolutely no one who plays any of the games. I've been getting into ROM hacks and competitive battling as of late, and would like venture out into the social aspect of pokemon. As most of you know, when you first start competitive battling you get flat out destroyed 9 out of 10 battles, so maybe I could get some help in that near helpless situation. Anyways, the site looks awesome and the people seem friendly. Happy to be aboard!

    Nice to meet you! I love competitive battling too :). And yes when you first start out you do get destroyed but it's those battles that you learn how to be better. When I am able, I would love to battle you sometime :P.

    Do you use a special team or a certain type? I use the Ghost and Normal types, they're awesome :).
     
    Yes, I've been using Ice types but I am far from mastering them and their weaknesses, but I did pull off a win versus a fighting monotype player because of a lucky crit :3
     
    Well, pretty soon you'll get to know people that play Pokemon, as well as love Pokemon...just like me, and the poster above! There's literally hundreds and thousands of people here that log on to this amazing website, just to talk Pokemon with their friends, and you sir...are on your way!

    It's an honor to meet you, btw :) Welcome to the PokeCommunity! I know a few people irl that play Pokemon, but not as much as I do...so I'm more hardcore than anyone in my town. xD But the problem as of late is that they prefer the older generations. I am a fan of the older generations, including gens 1-2, but I appreciate the new Pokemon. I'm actually excited for the new Pokemon XY game coming soon. <3 Are you as well?? I hope you are!

    Well, we do have a section for Competitive Battling, as well as a section for ROM Hacking. Battling is a great way to meet friends, whether in wifi mode or online. You should join the Battle Server sometime to battle online. It's an amazing place to meet friends, you'll be sure to find me there as well. :)

    Hello there Kyros! Welcome to PC man!

    I know that feeling brother. The only difference for me is that I have no one who plays the current games. I know people who still like Pokemon, but they only play games from generations 1-3. I wanted to talk to people about Pokemon on the generations not just the nostalgic ones. So that's why I came here too in a way. There's so much to talk about Pokemon here that you'll find a topic on anything that you like about Pokemon! The games, anime , trading ,battling, the card game, etc. Everything on Pokemon is pretty much covered here.

    Alot of hacks look really fun!I've never played one but I've been wanting too. I downloaded Flora Sky once but haven't touched it since. D: It looks good though.If you're interested in hacking PC will be perfect for you cause we have a huge library of hacks. You can check out our Emulation section for all things ROM hacking. And if you want to create a hack, you can do that too. I can't do that myself cause I'm no hacker, but we have a lot of good tutorials that can help you. I don't know anything about competitive play either , so sorry to say, I can't help you. But there's definitely people here who can! Battle Center if you need help or want to learn more on competitive battling. You can get help on your team there or just discussing about battling or just request a quick battle from someone. You will also notice that there's a link in the section to PC's server on Pokemon Showdown. That's another to have battles from other users online. I've been there a few times and as I said I'm not good at competitive battles, but from being there I've sort of improved. And person there are just fun all around and are easy to get along with. :)

    I'm looking forward to seeing around the forums Kyros! I'm really nice so don't be shy to talk to me by VM or PM. Alot of other people here are nice too so don't ever hesitate to talk to people. Plus the moderators are there to help so you can ask them questions or forum related problems you have. Have an enjoyable time here Kyros!

    Yeah, I'm pretty excited about the new games and pokemon, but with at least a 100 new pokemon its gonna make it even harder to figure out a team. I kind of feel bad for the kids that are just getting into pokemon and battling. I'm sure the sheer number of pokemon now make it overwhelming. I don't see myself becoming the very best anytime soon. Maybe 8 years down the road but that's a maybe. Anyways it would be cool to chat with ya too!
