  • Huh?

I think instead of NSE try searching it in unlz. I'm sure there's a list of the sprites somewhere in the tutorials or r&d section try searching it there.
    Errm...

I can't really LOL, I'm quite busy right now sorry about that but there are many tutorials in PC so search through the pages I'm sure you can find something that can help you.
click 256 colors and replace it be sure to have it in the same canvas size of prof.oak and then go edit the pallete in APE although the sprites' pallete in the intro or somewhat connected so it will be really hard to replace those. :3
What tool are you using to insert sprites?

Are you sure you clicked the write into rom button?
Could you make a couple of pictures showing how? I'm a bit stumped, and figuring out how to learn to use the hex editor with some pictures would be a great help since I'm mostly a visual learner.
Edit: By pointer, you mean check the "Automatically fix pointers" or whatever with Write to Rom in unLZGBA?
You have to make it into a pointer! I just told you, lol.

If the offset is E6 68 88, then the pointer is 88 68 E6 08. Search for that!

Edit: I just found it searching for that and there is only one.
Go to oaks sprite in Un-Lz. Copy down the location to a notpad. Now, go an insert your new sprite and write down the offset you put that one at. Now, turn them both into pointers. If the offset is: 12 34 56, then the pointer is 56 34 12 08. (You switch the first and last bytes and add 08 to the end). Now, using a hex editor, search for the pointer to the original oak sprite and replace it with the one for the new one. There may be more than one pointer.
Well, I'm pretty sure you based it off oak's sprite it's pretty much ok.

Well replacing those sprites are pretty much hard as they use L277 palletes something like that. ry some of the tuts here on PC as I haven't tried to replace any of those sprites yet.
Well, I can give crit to your work. :3 Or maybe make some more progress so you can post the thread. :3
Sprite work would go in the Art and Design section. Your hack, even if it is just a concept still, can get its own Progressing Hacks thread.
    Hmm...

You can always as people to get crit for your work by messaging them. You can showcase your Maps here. http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=226711

And you can showcase your sprites here. http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=275403

I think you can showcase some of your work in the rom hacking discussions. Or for easy things just make a thread in the progressing hacks thread even if you have done small progress with the hack. Just make sure you have 4 screenshots showcasing your hack. :3
Don't worry 'bout Jambo, he has done far more than his fair share of research and hard work when it comes to rom hacking and he gets a lot of **** from people who don't understand. He can come off as condescending, but he has earned it.

By the way, to reply to a VM, you have to leave it on the other persons profile, or in the View Conversation window which there is a link to at the bottom, right hand corner of this message.
