My HG I SR'd for whatever would come first when I picked Cyndaquil.... shiny or female. I got a female... then lol'd hardcore when I saw she was adamant. Though on that game I kept a few pokemon on my team that I either wouldn't keep or wouldn't use in the first place.

well, the initial feeling of the first focus character is confusion... He doesn't know why everything is so drastically different from when he last remembered.... I don't even think there's going to be any talking in the first chapter. That kogura picture is actually a bad rendition of a piece from the first chapter.

I'm thinking, since Thunder Edge is a lightning elemented sword, when Okruo uses it, the energy cost is counteracted with a power amplification... so it all even out. Even if he cannot fight as long as long when he uses it, he can deal more damage.
