it would be awesome if they came up with a different bat species. Zubat is just obnoxious. Not all bats are poisonous (very few, in fact).
Geodude. Hrm. Magikarp. Hrm.
It'd be great if these didn't make an appearance either. At least, not in the main storyline's duration.
Well. . . you are the only one. Most of these plots were secret. The headquarters were all secret, and in every instance, they never got around to doing anything really bad because the player barges in and stops them. Police need warrants and reasonable suspicion, and these teams are secret...

Thanks, I didn't know that 800000 wasn't blanks space in Emerald. I haven't been using that though. I look up free space in the free space finder and change it to that. Same with the "000000" I look up what's free, then I change it to the proper address in the code.
I'm truly stumped.
No, the script is the only change.
I did add a person to a map, and gave it the script, but after adding the person, I tested the ROM before adding the script. As soon as it was compiled, I got the white screen.
What are possible reasons for white screen EXCLUDING having the Wrong ROM version, or Overwriting of important code? I've created a standard battle encounter in Emerald, but it causes a white screen upon compiling.

Have you tried just making it hidesprite 0x10? Sometimes XSE confuses me with its peculiarities.
I mean, I don't know if it'll work, it's just something I'd try.
Hmm. . . yes, I have tried that.
Still. XSE won't compile it, but PokeSvui does.
And, as soon as it's compiled, I get a white screen at the beginning.
Here's the script (offsets removed for now.)
I know the script works because I was careful to save the state.
