Works fine with the additional Virtual Windows XP, but the sound is very stuttery, so I wouldn't recommend working with it.

As far as I know VBALink uses a client-server model (one person is connected to by everyone else). It's supposed to work over a local network but, however, I'm unsure about the internet. I suppose it could work, but don't go betting on it.

Have you tried HackMew's A-Trainer? It's similar to PET but newer and supported by its author (HackMew).

Overall? I believe it was the Mario Land hack where you play as Pikachu. Pokémon related, I think Cokemon was the first ROM hack I played. Basically a text hack of Red, it looks pretty much stupidly noobish now.

I'm a user of XVI32 mostly, it's free, fast, and gets the job done. I do use ghex or khexedit under Linux sometimes though. XVI32 is also much smaller than alternatives such as Hex Workshop, which, while having a few more features, is almost 4 times the size of XVI32
