From which school are you? :D I've been spreading the Eon Ticket all around Manila (and probably Muntinlupa) ever since I got it. Max Soft had a distribution of Eon Ticket codes, too. It's fairly easy to get them now via StreetPass.

Have you downloaded mac shift? You do via command prompt; alternatively, you could try Mac Cycler program. I haven't tried it, but people claim it's easier to use.

I should give you a download code for it. I'll pm you so you'll be the only one to see it. I hope it still works!!

Try if your 3DS would connect to the virtual router you've created. If it connects, double check if you have successfully changed the mac address. If you did, then just wait for tags :D
