Well Tentacruel isn't really supposed to be a game-breaking sweeper with Surf and Ice Beam. Its main role is support - in your team is utilizes Toxic Spikes and Rapid Spin. The given EVs are to help it survive and provide your team with a reliable fighting resist as well.

Motoko definitely gets my vote. Like has already been said, I love the whole notebook style with the pictures and anime guys. A close second would've been Josephine for me, because I love the simplicity of it and having actual photographs that have been slightly editted. ^_^
